If you have an Amex rewards card, you can link it to your amazon account and claim a once off discount of £15 pounds
To receive your promotional discount, you must:
1. Add £25 or more of eligible items sold and shipped by Amazon.co.uk to your shopping cart.
2. Enter the promo code AMEX16SWP in the box provided on the checkout page and pay for at least a portion of your order with Membership Rewards points.
3. £15 of savings will be reflected on the final order checkout page.

Redeeming 200 points for 90p is the minimum
(This isn't a particularly good exchange rate so unless you've got lots of points and nothing else to spend them on you're best to claim just the 90p)

See the ts&cs for exclusions eg digital but worth doing especially today perhaps for a further £15 discount or if you missed out on a deal

Vaild until 31/10/2017 or first 33,333 customers

Hmm tried this but it says the details do not match their records? I've double checked it though..

I've just spent a grand on Amazon all on AMEX! Why didnt I see this before. £15 would have been appreciated.
#3
This never works on my Amex (and it should).
#4
This links to nothing for me?
#5
Last time ,I got a amex discount , the removed my other discount. So if you any other amazon discount don't couple with amex. And check online with amex if you got discount or not.

I've just tried enrolling my Amex Rewards card with my Amazon account but get: Some of the American Express information that you entered does not match their records. Any ideas?

Worked OK. Used £1 of points and got a Hive heating self install kit for £87!

Same for me - I remember trying this a while back and getting the same error, with no guidance on how to correct it. The card number seems to work fine when they want to take my money though!

Never works for me, and never really found out why. Seems to be a common problem!

I spoke to Amex and they explained that I have an Express Rewards card, not a Membership Rewards card. Only Membership Rewards cards are eligible for this offer. HTH

Heat. Purchased the lad some school books. Thanks
#14
Other reason it may not work is that the discount only seems to apply on items sold by Amazon (exc. Warehouse products).
#15
Used this a few months back, might add the Mrs gold card to my account and grab another £15 off
#16
I have claimed it many months ago. Can I again do the same or is it targeted to amex rewards ac who have not linked their rewards ac to Amazon ac yet?
#17
Not working

Nice, thanks! Worked for me on Gold.

doesn't work with my BA amex :(

Where do I go to link my Amex card?
#21
Doesnt work with Platinum Reward Amex
#22
This only works with Amex Reward cards i.e Platinum or Gold cards. Those with Amex Lloyds, Amex cash back, Amex BA cards move along nothing to see here.
#23
Had been thinking about grabbing arms on the Nintendo switch for a while... this made me finally go for it! Thanks a lot!
#24
Never worked before, junk
#25
It only works with AMEX own cards. I tried with my BA for ages without any luck. In the end called Amazon and they explained that you can only link American Express own cards not others like BA etc
#26
FWIW it doesn't necessarily work with all Amex cards. I have 2 and neither works

it won't work - only 1 use per Amazon a/c

however, you can use the same Amex card multiple times if you have his & hers a/cs, the kids' a/cs etc

got it 4x - but this is old news, ISTR it started before Xmas 2016

Where do I go to link my Amex card?

you don't actually need to 'link' it

what you do is put in your Amex card details as a paying method & choose it to pay for your chosen item - then use a MR point & code etc

input the data correctly, it's not difficult to add a card as your paying method on Amazon
