The Powerline AV Network Adapter lets you easily create a high-speed, HD video capable network, using the existing electrical outlets in your home. Now you don't have to drill holes in walls and climb through the attic or cellar to install network cables - just use the wires that already run through the building.

The Powerline AV Adapter connects computers or any other wired Ethernet device, using the HomePlug AV network standard. Adding a device to the network is as simple as plugging the Powerline AV Adapter into an electrical outlet, and connecting your Ethernet-equipped device using the included network cable. Additional devices can be connected to the same network using additional Powerline AV Adapters plugged into an electrical outlet anywhere in the house.

Once your computers are connected to the network, they can share resources like printers and storage space, and all kinds of files - video, music, digital pictures, and documents. With up to 200Mbps data rates, you can play virtually lag-free head-to-head network computer games, and run applications like streaming standard or HD video, and Voice over IP telephony. Plug your Internet connected router into a Powerline AV Network Adapter and you'll be able to get to the Internet from any Powerline AV attached computer in the house.

The Linksys Powerline AV Network Adapter is the perfect solution for easy, "no new wires", home or office networking.

If this is for 1 its not a good price. Often packs of 2 come up for £40 - £45, different makes but no real difference in performance.

Just FYI, you can mix and match Homeplug AV CERTIFIED products, and dont need to buy same brands or packs of two. Like some1 pointed out you can just buy one to add to an existing network!, Make sure they are homeplug AV certified! Most 200Mbps are, though some are UPA certified, which wont interoperate with Homeplug.. Politics.. dont ask!!

This is a powerline 4 port adapter, you can connect 4 ethernet devices to it instead of the standard one device each end. So for example, your Xbox 360, your dLNA tv, and anything else you need a network connection for in the room without needing a separate switch and yet another power socket. For the purposes of extending an existing 200Mbps powerline network this is ideal.

Good spot! Yet another box to stuff behind the telly!

Although the picture on Ebuyer showes it as 4 ports if you search google by the model number it comes up as the single port product, and checking the linksys website the model PLE300-UK is single port.

Can this be used to get satellite tv pictures from receiver to another tv in another room?

Actually, the manufacturers product number stated on ebuyer is for the 1 port version, so don't be so sure regardless of what the pictures show.
Ebuyer do this a lot...

They never used to but the last couple of years stuff like that has been happening more frequently, what's more frustrating is the lack of response to questions similar to those above that have been asked on the product discussion thread on their forum.
