works with cable modems (virgin media).
i saw this on play.com for 160 pounds, and i think this is a good price for this router especially when factoring in the cashback

it's dual band so you can get better wireless signals when all ur neighbours have routers (who doesnt these days).
also has gigabit which allows faster connections between your lan PCs for sending files

read a bit about heat problems on amazon, not sure it occurs with all.
im seriously considering ordering this however.
offer ends 19 april 2010

anyway here's the deal. hot or not? :)

looks a nice enough router, gigabit ethernet ports for streaming etc are nice. if I needed one I'd seriously consider.

(if one more person tells me they're pointless because you don't tend to have over 100Mb ISP connections I'm going looking for a bat....)

Gigabit is useful if more than 1 person is streaming a vid/transferring lots of data over as it increases network throughput so +1 for me. Good price (pity not like the mis-price I so sillily(?) missed out on last week - said would order in the morn but they fixed it :()

how much was the router mispriced at?

35 quid with chance for 15 quid cashback. Absolute bargain but for some reason I though I would order in the morning rather than at 01:00 :(
