Moving data around your house...primarily
Unless you have wireless AC devices not much advantage. If you have AC devices Wireless AC is worth it to upgrade. Price looks good. When buying new tech now I always ensire it has wireless AC. Me thinks Asus have the best AC wireless routers. Check the specs first before buying to ensure its what you need. Get some tech guru to help if you need help.

Can get routers that do exactly the same for a quarter of this price.

Cold, obviously.

Not all routers are created equal, if you have a very fast broadband connection, i.e. Virgin cable, then it's possible a router could prevent you using the full connection speed. However, any router around this price point should be capable of running fast enough to full utilise a cable connection.

Absolute rubbish routers are expensive for a reason and unless you actually use one you have no clue . Massive difference between a lot of them. Cheaper is what Virgin provide. That tells you everything.
Seems to be back up to £139.44 now. But I'm still voting hot, partly because it was a good price for an AC1900 router but mainly because I'm in defiance of all the people who vote technical things cold when they have no idea what they are!
