Seems to have mixed reviews - Check out the AVforums.
Was looking at this myself a few days ago.
Might go for the Zyxel......

I use my PS3 for most things. Admittedly this covers more formats, but the PS3 does work.

Dont see the point in getting this as you can get an xbox that will do the same and have the enjoyment of the games! PS3 does exactly the same but will cost you a lot more.

I got an xbox on fleabay for 20 quid, softmodded it and it now runs XBMC as a media streamer - works flawlessly and you can play games on it too!

I too have an xbox that does most of this, but There are those who like to buy toys and at this price , it's a bargain for some.

Agreed but xbmc has to be the best media client application out there which is probably due to it being open source. I will eventually have 3 xboxes running this, one for each of my rooms! This box does say its HD though and although I know the xbox \ xbmc can do HD I have heard it needs to be encoded with specific settings (please correct me if I'm wrong)

I don't think the CPU in the Xbox is up to full HD

I also have two XBOXs running XBMC but I got them for a tenner each from Game few months ago - 2nd hand of course ;-)

Both have been softmodded and one has been upgraded to 320gb and they're excellent for what I use them for.

The CPU is 1% busy while playing DVDs as the XBOX graphics processor has a MPEG2 decoder built-in. It can also play upto 720p but I doubt it would play 1080p (full HD).
