I found this on a site called BroadbandBuyer when I was looking for a HomePlug kit for my xbox360, its a HomePlug kit that has 4 ethernet ports to create a wire connection between my router and xbox, I dont have wireless xbox and have been using a very long network cable lol!

I was about to buy another one that was about £110 !!

I ordered mine and the guy on the phone said it was a limited offer only and will be going up in price once stock runs out!

personally, I would recommend buying two of the following for £49.94 (paying an extra 4.94)

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/450396/linksys-plts200-uk-85mbps-homeplug-

because you would get two 4 port ones, rather than a single port and a 4 port in this pack.

the single port by itself = £21.99, and the 4 port is £24.97 alone.

Will that work? I only have one wire from my router thou?

£49.31 inc delivery

£45.94 delivered from Ebuyer
or
Extra Value 85Mbps Powerline Adapter - Twin Pack £34.78 delivered
or
Extra Value 200Mbps Powerline Adapter - Twin Pack £49.98 delivered - This is the best value.

yup! certainly. connect router into any port of a 4 port, then have another 4 port behind your tv connected to your xbox 360, ps3 or wii.

the twin 200mb ebuyer ones are suitable if you dont need 4 ports.

there's an even cheaper way (if I understand correctly what you want to do)
an unmanaged switch. plug the cable from your router in, and you got 4 more ports to run cable from to anything you like :)
all for under a tenner here

That looks like a good option to increase your wired units. Is it automatic, just plug in one of your 4 spare ports into it, and you get an extra 4 without any changes to your router config?

My understanding is that you really only need this kit, NOT two of the 4 port jobbies.

The idea is that you connect the single port unit (Master) to your conventional router and plug that single unit into the mains. Then, wherever you plug in the the 4 port unit (Slave), you will have four additional network connections.

If you buy two of the 4 port units, I am not even sure that it would work because you would have a Slave unit trying to talk to a Slave unit.

As far as I know (I am not an expert, but do own some), homeplugs are not a master/slave type device - I haven't used the 4 port ones though.

These work just like plugging straight into a router.

Only way to go for streaming an online gamming.

If you dont need the 4 ports why pay the extra ? Also I personally prefer the plug in types they are smaller and neater IMO.

I was going to buy this kit from broadbandbuyer, but after including P&P it was closer to £50. Had a look on Amazon and the same kit goes for £45.74 delivered, so will be purchasing from there instead. But thanks for the heads up. Have some rep :)

Just had these arrive today, installed within 10 mins. Just plug and play. Very impressed, wifi was flakey and am now get 6.5 mbs through these according to my providers speed test. Also got the Xbox hooked upto it quick smart. HOT.
