This is a really good quailty modem & router for the price and is much better than those rubbish cheap Belkin routers and even better than Netgear routers in my opinion. It is a factory rework with only a 6 month guarantee, but I bought one of these when Morgan were selling them two years ago and have never had any serious problems with it. In fact I recently tried out my old Netgear router that it replaced and with the Linksys I got a much better wireless signal and it connected much more quickly and consistently.

The only problem is that P&P is an extra £8.62 which makes the deal not so good, but you can buy it instore at £19.99 at one of the many Morgan shops.

Are there any firmware hacks out there for this? Tomato or something?

More second-hand crap from a non-caring retailer :-(

Rubbish cheap Belkin routers?!! How funny, my Belkin Routers internals are identical to the respectable Linksys WRT54GX, in fact its even firmware flash hacked as one.

Typical snarling comment from yourself, not everything at Morgan is second hand ONLY factory rework stuff is.

Even then I have bought a refurb Pure Bug radio from them and it was fine, admittedly a second one I bought as a present for my father had a scratched display and I had to exchange it (not a problem as I checked it before leaving the car park...providing you buy in store they will gladly let you inspect the items before leaving (obviously only good if you intend visiting the store) however in the instance of a wireless router I somehow doubt there would be too much for concern with cosmetic damage anyway.

I have one of these and installed the latest firmware from Linksys. I find that it loses its settings sometimes which is really annoying having to set it up again. And recently, I find that I have to reboot it every few days when it loses its internet connection.

Me too, which is why I was interested in custom firmware.
