hull and rotheram showing but none in grimsby but hot
#3
Don't forget Quidco ;)

Unfortunately none showing in stock near me. Closest is Rotherham.

Although, PC Worlds online stock checker is reliably, un-reliable. May call in my local for a double check later.

No, only the official wireless adapter can be used on the Xbox360.

This is a USB device which will require drivers and the Xbox360 doesn't allow this.
#13
good deal, but none in stock so it is cold for me
#14
None near Nottingham.

Next cheapest I can find is £9.49 delivered for a Plexus one at eBuyer: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132439

Yeah, this won't work with the 360 - but, you can get a wireless access point (ethernet to wireless) and connect this to the ethernet port on your 360 to overcome having to buy the official 360 adpater!

An alternative is an Ethernet based Wireless AP CLIENT box - eg eBuyer Plexus - which I found mentioned on here a while back (thanks OP!)...

It WAS £14.99 a month ago when I got 3 for self/friend
then £17.99
HOWEVER it's now up to £22.99 (all +P&P unless order £49.99+).

Works very nicely on even an ancient Xbox with XBMC for streaming from my Vista PC over home WAN.

if you get asked to complete a survey whilst visiting the site. mention that you're not happy about the recent pricematch policy change as they have taken amazon and play off there list. and maybe if enough of us have complained they might add them back.
pc world price match policy

This price promise applies to:
Argos, Comet, Jessops, Tesco, John Lewis, Asda, B&Q, Game Gamestation, Halfords, HMV, Maplin, Staples, Toys R Us, Zavvi, Woolworths.

I do wonder though what on earth you could price match against to B&Q... Intel Dual Core Lawnmower?
#27
#28
also halfrauds aswell! dual core car cleaner lol
#29
got one of these supplied with the linkysys wrt54gs. its ok, but for some reason it would never connect to the router with wpa2, and the speed boost never worked even with latest firmware. as i said for 4.50 you cant grumble. but the driver hasnt been updates for ages on the linksys site. mine was in blue v2, so the grey one might be a newer version.

wow, they've taken away play.com as well.

bring on the recession for DSG, no one in their right mind will buy from them now! :p

I reckon, logically speaking, the reason they took Amazon and Play off is because people were prolly doing what I was planning on doing next week :p

which is, print out the screen shot of the item page, and notice it says the cheapest price as the main price, but it includes Amazon Marketplace and Play Trade items, therefore used or slightly different etc, making the price of the main item look cheaper.

Got a screenshot of the 120GB HDD for the Xbox 360 for £59.99 from Play.com (it's gone now, but i've still got the screenshot), but you go into it a bit further and it's a play trade 60GB one that someone listed on there because play don't list the 60GB one for sale :)

I mean you can't plug a wireless USB adapter into the Xbox360. As you can't a USB bluetooth adapter. These things require drivers that aren't built into or able to be installed on the console.

I know you can get wireless gaming adapters or wireless ethernet adapters, access points etc.. that converts a wireless signal into an ethernet network. I've used one in the past but since gone to a wired network to stream movies and music from the PC.

beware this router is a pain in the ass, dont even bother if using Virgin !!!!! cable.

As it's just a USB network adapter for connecting a device onto your home WAN - it isn't a router, no wonder you had problems with making it route :whistling:
#35
could this be used as a wireless bridge adapter:oops:

I got a free La Fonera router and flashed it with dd-wrt. It works a treat on 360

Really? I've always been told they just require a print out of said price, rather than faffing about looking it up, they just look at your print out, get the nod from the manager and off they go.

Cheers. Am going to just go to the Selly Oak branch tomorrow to see if I can get one, rather than waste my time reserving.

Last time I reserved something from there (a hard drive), I turned up and there was no stock.
