Product Description
The Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with RangeBooster is the simple way to add or upgrade wireless connectivity in your desktop or notebook computer. RangeBooster technology is a compatible add-on to standard Wireless-G which increases your wireless network's range up to two times, and its throughput by up to 35%. Unlike ordinary wireless technologies that are confused by signal reflections, RangeBooster uses two smart receivers at each end to detect and decode reflected signals at distances where standard technologies give up. You'll find that "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area are reduced, too. Unlike other range-enhancing technologies, RangeBooster is fully 802.11 compliant, and a "good neighbor" to other wireless devices and technologies, using a single 2.4GHz channel as specified by the official wireless standard. And with RangeBooster you'll see a range improvement even when running a mixed network of RangeBooster and regular Wireless-G and Wireless-B devices. To install, simply plug the Adapter into any available USB port. (It's compatible with both USB 1.1 and 2.0 ports, but 2.0 will yield the fastest speeds.) It gets its power through the USB connection, so no power cord is necessary. The included Setup Wizard walks you through configuring the Adapter to your wireless network settings, step by step. Wireless communications can be protected by WPA 128-bit encryption, so your data stays secure. The high-gain antenna lets you put your computer almost anywhere in the building, without the cost and hassle of running cables. Now you don't have to drill holes in your walls and climb through the attic or cellar to get connected to the network.

Hopefully someone will prove me wrong, cos it'd be an ace price it was a usb server, but I think this is just something you plug into a usb port on a pc to give it wireless..

I may be wrong, but people may prefer to pay the extra 90p for the reliability of Amazon, I have placed 3 orders with expansys in the past and all got delayed, delayed again awaiting stock then cancelled.

Having actually read the description, I think you're right, poo

Does anyone know of a good wireless print server? Netgear do one but it is a 4 port switch router, about £70 I just want to plug my 2 printers in and share them across the network.

Funny how everything 'boosts' your wireless speed, yet when you install it, its still slow and rubbish....or is that my Virgin 10Meg line?!

I bought a Buffalo network router with 4 LAN ports to allow me to connect xbox/printer etc to the network and to improve the wireless range. The connection which was once very poor now shows as 'Very Good' and doesn't drop out all of the time. Unfortunately, the speed is still poor. I was getting 1MB/sec last night at 11pm!

No as its USB. I use a gaming bridge made by Buffalo which allows 4 RJ45 connections and connects wirelessly with a router. Pretty good but I can't seem to find it on Amazon any more....
