Chips is Z3735F not Z3735G, maybe that's why the price is cheap, the "G" has 1Gb RAM as is displayed on the instore demo model, which is wrong.

Info from nige182... in the HOPE of stopping the repeated question being posed with regarding what is 'allowed' as a trade-in.... "no restriction on branding, must be at least 7 inches, not damaged and functional."
It's that simple. Thanks nige182.

So will they exclude stuff bought from the stores mentioned ebay outlets ........!?!?!

I've got an argos bought iconia, but thinking about it it was through their outlet

WHAT IN THE NAME OF SANITY IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?!?

THE LIST OF ACCEPTED STORES IS FOR WHERE YOU BOUGHT THE LINX FROM, OBVIOUSLY, NOT WHERE YOUR OLD TABLET IS FROM.

THIS HAS BEEN ASKED ABOUT (edit: 9000!) TIMES IN THE PAST FEW HOURS.

I AM LOSING FAITH IN THE ABILITY OF THE BRITISH PUBLIC TO READ PLAIN ENGLISH.

That's enough caps for now.

For anyone who has received the 'Confirmation of your order' email, it is possible to track your order.

If you go to http://www.tnt.com/express/en_gb/site/home.html and type the 8 digit code from the email title (mine has 2 letters and 6 numbers) into the Track Package box and select Reference No. it will tell you if your parcel is in transit.

Mine is showing as Shipment in transit, expected delivery 22 Dec 2014.

Hope this helps.

Looks like cashback will be paid, behind the 'outsourcing' cashback company is one of the biggest IT EU companies and its uber parent, exertis had 36 million in cash banked for the last financial year, the third party cashback company is just a subsidiary of itself which both owned by DCC. Tax avoidance companies making a loss so the parent company can get Irish tax breaks no doubt!

DCC rebranded a year ago, Linx brand seems to be getting sold off at a loss after a year (removing the trade in limitations), whilst streamlining the business is ongoing. DCC hold the rights to Windows/Xbox and Nintendo games in Ireland, DCC - in 2012-13 they had a £1.8 BILLION turnover! The restructuring has turned this Exertis tech division into 2, 265 billion pounds in a year for the 2013-14 so far.

Staples probably bought large stocks reduced to clear, Argos either bought in at cost or are just trying to rape customer pockets.

Seems the £50 trade in is better some profit than massive losses with warehouses sitting with thousands of Linx tablets, Blackberry Playbook all over again, its a tough market out there with mobile and tablet saturation. Making and distribution of its own brand wasn't as lucrative as being contracted by the big brands Europe wide, Exertis manage 14000 resellers via biggest international brands in Europe.

Wonder if I can trade in my Linx 7"?

This is a very hot deal. A 10" tablet for £30 after trade in!

Great find!
I thought I did well getting it for £100 the other week (at Argos with the cashback, nectar points & store vouchers)!!
You can only get the cashback (£50 for 10") if you buy it from certain retailers. Linx have got a list on their site (If you can't find it, I just used the link from this tablet on the argos site) which tells you which retailers you can buy it from to get the cashback. Not sure if Staples was on the list. Excellent find if it is!!
Hot from me.

Staples themselves say you can get the £50 cutback from trade in. This price is insane!

You've got to trade in a 10" tablet to get the £50 cashback when you buy a 10" Linx10.

No 7" inch or more.

"For your existing tablet to qualify for the Trade-up Reward it must be complete and undamaged (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and have a diagonal screen size of 7” or more. For the avoidance of doubt each of the following is considered beyond reasonable wear and tear; cracked/split/damaged or open chassis structure, cracked or non-working display, does not power on."

You've got to trade in a 10" tablet to get the £50 cashback when you buy a 10" Linx10.

The T&C's say the screen must be 7inches or more diagonally. No mention of 10 inches for 10 inches.

Well my order confirmation emal came through eventually. Staples have been pretty bad in the past so not counting my chickens yet. Will probably expect an email in the morning saying misprice and it should be £129.98 and somebody included the cashback price by mistake.

It's similar to having a clubcard and stacking up points. It asks for a 10 digit number (reward card number). Morning i was able to get it from the store. He too said it can be done online.. give it a try.. cheers

Thanks faronwong

Got one of these for my daughter a few weeks ago from sainsburys, she just needed something office compatible for school work. Wasn't expecting too much because of how cheap it was but I have been seriously impressed, she uses a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and so far it has run everything she has tried. Also using a hdmi lead it runs Netflix better than any of the console apps that I have tried.

At this price it is an absolute steal, getting one to use for the smartglass app for Xbox One.

Very tempted, has anyone got any experience with this tablet?, windows 8 and 10" bay trail looks a bargain

I was hovering over the buy now button on Insight for the 10" and keyboard case for £170- this is a no-brainer for me.

I have a Dell Venue Pro 11, it's not quite the same (i3/4gb) but for general web browsing, video, ebooks etc. I can't see it being that different. For £50-80 it's a total bargain.

You're getting a complete PC with windows that doubles as a tablet/mobile device.

The Linx 8 performs fantastically well. This has 2GB of RAM....so it should be even better!
#38
This is deffo a miss price. These orders will be cancelled in the morning...
The reason I say that is the Linx 7 is on the home page as a 'deal of the week' running at £59.99 with a couple of ** denoting that this is the after cash back price!
So clearly some plonker has uploaded the 8 and 10 to the site at a price point that includes the cashback.

Even so, I've ordered :)
#39
The Linx 8 has just 1GB RAM !!!
#40
misprice, will not be honoured.
