I just took this picture and, although it is a good price, popped into my local staples who price matched it.

This is because I have a tablet I just picked up from eBay for £20 for the £50 cash back deal :) It may not be as good as the in store price they had recently but it's better than £159.99. As a bonus they said of the price dropped back down again within 14 days Staples would refund the difference!

Hughes also do price matching so if you show them my photo they should offer a similar deal.

they also had discounts on the 8" model if that is what you prefer. same deal applies.

It was this price in Staples last week anyhoo.

it's £159.99 in Staples now that deal expired. Hence the post! Why so cold, it's the cheapest price for anyone on the trade in list right now. I know I checked all of them this morning when I found Staples had put the price up!

Just picked up the case for £29 so it's £108 with the case after trade in. £71 cheaper than the Argos bundle (£21 after trade in)

You should know by now that time travel is commonplace on these forums and there's no point in putting anything up from the present that was cheaper in the past as someone will already have gone back to buy one at the cheaper price ;)

No, only £30 cashback on the 8".
#6
Few people selling them through amazon for around £133.......wonder if the stock came from Staples?
#7
I meant the price match deal. Staples have put the price of the 8" up too so this will help knock the price down again. The tablet trade in was always £30.

Tell me about it. I could have fine with that this morning when he was putting the £159.99 tickets back in :(

Still they offered 14 days to price match if they drop the price again so a good deal either way.

Any particular reason for saying that?

mine is £59.98 after tradein with the case, as I got mine from staples on 22 dec 14 for £79.99 before tradein, so after tradein £29.99 + £29.99 (case) = £59.98

Bear in mind that Sainsburys is NOT on the list of approved sellers to qualify for the trade-in promo

The OP is only suggesting you get a retailer that's on the trade-in list to price match Sainsburys and claim the trade-in promo as per the list.

Really pleased with the 10" I got a couple of weeks ago. Full Windows 8, plays MKV files no problem, can power a portable HDD from battery, quick enough for most tasks and can play games too (though don't expect 60fps on CoD).

Got my sons the 8" version when on offer at Staples last week and they are really please with them (£50 each and 1 tablet to trade in =£70 for 2 Windows tablets).

No, only £30 cashback on the 8".

7/8" = £30 cashback
10" = £50 cashback

Only from selected sellers though.

Why?

got one from my daughters for Xmas, amazing value for £80 from staples last week. would pau £130 for it all day tbh.
#22
had 7". needed a bigger one so went to sainsburys and got the 10" one for 129.99
#23
Offer is still on. I don't have a tablet worth less than £50 to trade in so £129.99 is by far the cheapest price I've seen it for. Just bought one.

Thanks OP

Not sure Sainsbury's is part of the cash back deal. The Linx website is very specific about which retailers are eligible and when I checked a few weeks ago Sainsbury's was not included.

Think he's just saying that Sainsbury is the cheapest if you don't need the cashback scheme (because nothing to trade in).

The cash back is ONLY for the listed shops... they do accept any old tat so long as it is working, no screen damage and 7" or over...
(mine was an old Ployer MOMO)

When you make a Claim, you need to select which Retailer and enter the receipt number, so no.. NO other shops will work... they are linking direct to the sales data (or using it as cross-check)..

However.. I am still waiting for my cashback (claim was approved) having sent them the old tablet a month ago... just chased them....
