Looking for one of these. However, I have had enough of 'Play' wasting my time with cancelled orders. So they have lost a sale from me. Bunch of t.....s. Have a cold vote just for good measure. No offence to OP, just my way of feeling better about 'Play'

Good price for 800 x 600 resolution.

Ordered mine yesterday and it was dispatched this morning. Good deal, been after a frame with a battery for the right price for ages.
Thanks OP

I've bought lots from Play and never had any probs at all.

These things are such a stupid, pointless waste of money.

This one seems a bit frame heavy to me.

I absolutely agree, i've got a 10.4" (no wise cracks please ;-) ) from Vason. After the early initial use, it's never switched on now.

Then don't buy one. :)

I personally think they are great idea.
I don't like ones which put the brand name on the front though. I wouldn't like that in my living room.

I don't mind a brand name on a TV; but for me, a photo frame should be more discrete.

How does this compare to the other 8" Hi-Res frame that play are selling for £60? (the Nextbase 15-S for £59.99)

I've set my mind on one for an Xmas present for my parents, but am unsure which would be the best one to choose.

I went for the Nextbase one after reading the reviews on Play for this one:?

I agree that frames are a waste of time if you have to swich rthem on and off. My Sony frame though has a clock and timer. I just have mine in the bedroom and swich it on in the morning 7-8 am. It great with this feature.

My mate is exactly the same... the insane thing is I got my mum a portable DVD player for a very similar price, which will do the same and more =/

Or I can quite easily set up a slideshow on my PC, for how often I'd actually want to look at these things.

People are just too lazy to flick through a photo album these days.

As soon as a new gadget comes out, people get sucked in by the adverts, and think they can't live without it.

[/rant]
