Linx Vision 8" tablet 1/3rd off, £99.99 @ Argos

£99.99 @ Argos
The normal price for this tablet is between £140 to £160. £99.99 @ Argos is the cheapest I've seen it so far.

looks like the nintendo switch.

Thanks op was just looking at this, would this be suitable for a child age 7 to play on or is it more adult gaming tablet? Is it just like a normal tablet where you download the apps?

Hopefully plays nothing like the Switch. As a previous user of this device it's awful!

It's similar to other 8" windows tablets in terms of downloading apps from the windows app store. But, the twist is with the controllers. They allows it to stream and control a game live running on either your xbox one or PC, over your home network. This tablet wouldn't be powerful enough to run a high-spec game on its own. When my little one will be using it, I'll take the controllers off and he'll be playing basic tablet-style games from the store. Although, he may play games running on the xbox when he gets older (he's only 4 at the moment).

Wouldn't exactly call this awful, picked up a used one for 30 quid with a broken OS, runs well, steam streaming works fine as does the xbox one remote play, it is a little awkward to get used to but works for the most part, good for emulation too

pretty sure its always been this price though

Runs games from steam (and other providers) as well. I recently put Gone Home and Mark of the Ninja on mine.

I've been watching this tablet for a while, the cheapest I could find (prior to this deal) from somewhere I trust is £143. Argos have been selling refurbs for £90 on ebay for a while too.

Be careful with linx tablets, mine was killed (completely bricked) by a windows 10 update which erased the bios (google it), linx and Microsoft do not want to know.

I chatted with Amazon customer service today to see if they would price match, they said they couldn't but low and behold I just checked and they have price matched Amazon Price Match

Not a bad price for a 2GB tablet with a Cherry Trail processor.

Don't forget GAME too?.

They too have been selling this very same Linx 8 Tablet for the £90 odd mark for a while now too?.

No idea if GAME's lot are new Linx Tablets?, or refurbished ones?, or what? (I've never actually gone to ask of any of them, in the GAME Store near me?, so ..... )

It may be worth exploring that 'option'? (for anyone still interested again, etc?). :-)
