The bankrupt electrical goods chain Laser is to hold a closing down sale later this week.

The company which employed 140 people in 10 stores across Northern Ireland went into administration earlier this month.

The administrators KPMG were unable to find a buyer and will now sell any remaining stock.

They said the sale will take place from 0900 BST on Thursday(22nd) until Sunday, stock allowing.

Just had a check at Connswater and the queue was 1/2 a mile long!

I need a new telly for my bedroom but I'm not queueing for 2 hours and find all the stock is gone or reduced by £20.

Good luck to anyone why succeeds.

wow queue for that long. I will try this evening If I can get away from the film festival.

I called in at 4.30 and the shelves were stripped bare. No doubt some people did get a bargain but all that was left was over inflated prices.

I need a TV as I said above, one of the few TV's remaining was a 19" TV/ DVD combo reduced by £50 at £249. You can get a similar TV elsewhere for £130 but there will be some mug that will snap this up because of the £50 saving. Laser had over inflated prices which caused their downfall so a 30% saving on most items will only bring it down to the price that elsewhere is selling it for.

I voted this hot but now I'm not so sure.

Went to one one in Westside today queue was long stock was pants. 25% off computers "which are at least a year older than anywhere else" 40% of irons, kettles etc. have to agree that their downfall was caused by over-inflated prices to start with.

Was at Junction 1 today and everything instore was half price.
I picked up a Sharp 30w soundbar for £50.
Dyson vacuums were £100.I paid £150 for mine 2 weeks ago online.
JVC camcorders £40
ALL TV stands were £20,including Alphasons
A genuine half price sale although there wasn`t a lot of stuff to choose from.
