How many deals with be posted for little planet in the end? If we keep getting one for every 10p it drops and it eventually gets to a fiver, we have another 78 hot deals to look forward to!

I guess as it isn't the cheapest the repetitive nature of this over-hyped level builder is irrelevant.
#11
i bought this game a couple of days ago at amazon for £9...

no offence to OP, but at what point does a product become a "going rate" price rather than a hot deal? this game seems permanently available around this price, for only a few pence difference.

Is it not possible to add a feature that adds who expired the deal to the OP? or is action taken behind the scenes against the idiots?

No worries, just thought some people wouldn't mind saving a few pence though! (e.g. me!)
When you see something priced at £12.99 and £12.89, which one would you go for? If you chose £12.99, then I have nothing further to comment then :)

Cheers. ;-)

and if you saw it for sale at 12.99 in stock or 12.89 as a 3-4 week wait, would you wait the 3-4 weeks? if you choose yes, then i have nothing further to comment on ;)

I'm sorry but I've just clicked on the deal at DVD.co.uk and I got this:

"In Stock NOW. Usually dispatched within 24 - 48 hrs."

Not sure why you mentioned 3-4 weeks though?

i'm not saying it's out of stock. you're missing my point a little - and i really don't mean to cause any offence with my posts... but...
is 10p saving on a deal that has been this price, and is still in stock at this price for over a MONTH now, really a "hot" uk "deal"?

or is it a "slightly-cheaper-than-it-is-elsewhere-for-a-bit" uk "minor-price-drop"?

is it the cheapest available at the moment - sure, i'm sure it is.
if it was the first time it had been reduced from (say) 17.99 down to this price etc, then great it's a hot deal - because that deal already exists for play.com.

it just seems every time i log in to the site recently there is a new post for this game that is anywhere between 12.50 and 12.99, and for me, it's no longer a "hot" deal - it's the "normal" price... and savings of a matter of pence doesn't make it "hot" for me.

not criticising, not having a pop or owt - just an opinion :)

Maybe it doesnt make it a hot deal for you, but for someone who has only just come onto the site and is looking to get this game this offer is the hottest deal, certainly hotter deal than the play one for example...

And lets remember its hotukdeals, and not hotdealsforthingonaspring.... as the temperature of this deal shows.
#19
Fair enough. Still, it's hot for me at least.

No offence intended. Cheers.

As a side note, anyone who's getting this could get Armore Core For Answer (if you're a mech fan that is, reviews ain't that bad) which works out £12.50 each! Good deal imho.

fair enough, and like i say it's only an opinion. but there are 4-5 threads for the game at this price, ranging from this one at 300 or so, up to the play one at 2500... does that mean the play.com hottest deal (in the hottest of all time) should be expired?

No as it is still in stock.

but its not the cheapest price, therefore its not the hottest deal - i think that's what you said...

I should have used "best" rather than "hottest"

The play deal was voted hot by posters and then went out of stock and was expired, its now back in stock and has been unexpired so no its not the cheapest price but the temperature it received previously is still there and the only way it will come down is if people who havent previously voted vote it cold.

Think you need to read this......

i know how the site works, and i'm not a newcomer, but thank you.

my original post said "at what point does a product become a "going rate" price rather than a hot deal? this game seems permanently available around this price, for only a few pence difference."

and i stand by it. you've already said yourself there are 2-3 deals with the same game at around the same price, that won't change because they are still "active". but imho that makes this the "going rate" rather than a special deal. thats all i was saying, and any further questions were only intended to try to enforce my point ,and not because i don't know how it works.

Yes there may be 2-3 deals around the same price, but if the price has dropped each time one of them is submitted the new cheaper one become the better deal and people will vote it hot and if the price of the next deal is higher than that of previous deals still available then people will vote it cold.

So whilst you may have been trying to enforce your point, it really didnt really work.

the OP seems to understand or accept my point of view - if you don't want to thats fine - you're entitled to - so lets just agree to disagree shall we? i don't see anybody else even interested in the conversation.
#27
I know what you mean thingonaspring, but at the same time, I'm quite on N20Y1D side though. Anyway, this argument won't go any further, it's just a personal point of view.

Nevertheless, whether it's a hot deal / going rate price, it is indeed the cheapest price at the moment. Posting it up will allow new buyers to safe money (well at least a few pence).

I was going by people who have the game, i don't know anyone that plays it now having owned it for a few short months. Cutesy but limited. I don't think awards count for jack these days, that goes for any kind - Oscars, Brits, Peers....
It was impressive to start but certainly not deserving of anything more.
