Or the third option is that you are quite able to 'GET' what they want the film to be, quirky and dark humour, because truly dark humour is your favourite type of cinema. But you realise that this film fails miserably, and has no independent spirit at all. In this third scenario, you realise that its actually just bad slapstick comedy that wants to be loved for its faux surrealism/quirkiness. is not funny and is generally rancid an massively overrated.

Ah!, I get it now, Eric Hitchmo slated the film in post #3, and got offended because people may think he's got no sense of humour.
Luckily in post #10 we were proved wrong.
