Got an e-mail from shopto.net about pre-order, searched about and this is cheapest I could find it. It may be worth waiting as I'm sure price may drop elsewhere slightly but if you want it pre-ordered now, this is the cheapest.

Released 21st January

LittleBigPlanet 2 uses an updated graphics engine and state-of-the-art visual technologies to showcase Sackboy better than ever. Along his adventure, the stitched together icon will have access to new equipment to aid him on his journey, including a grappling hook, power gloves, a magic bag, and more, all anchored by a fresh storyline to PLAY that is set in an artistically modernized new world. Players will also have the opportunity to add customizable Sackbots (robot Sackboys) to their creations. These interactive, programmable characters bring the game to life and allow users to record animations and voice-overs with them, as well as customize sizing and clothing for each individual or group of Sackbots.

LittleBigPlanet has always empowered players to CREATE their own levels by utilizing the same tool set used by the development team. In LittleBigPlanet 2, the tools have evolved to allow users to not only make better levels, but completely new games. With the implementation of a new CREATE mode, players will have the ability to broaden their developer horizons across multiple genres. Now allowing for a higher level of gameplay control, players can reset the control buttons for any object and change the rules to any level—imagine racing games, flying games, and shooters–you can now take control of anything! Also included are new multiplayer abilities so games can have life meters, scoring, and other elements to advance the types of games available for a social/competitive multiplayer experience, including puzzle games, sports, action/adventure, and more. Added to these fundamentals are a movie-like cut-scene maker to improve the storyline components of each creation and a newly enhanced SHARE component making it easier to search for, play through, and showcase the millions of levels around the world.

LittleBigPlanet 2 will be backwards compatible with LittleBigPlanet allowing players to access all online levels created with the original game. It will also include bonus levels that will support the PlayStation Move navigation controller.

Yes, well, you generally do find that games lower in price after they have been released. ;)

You might be waiting a while, expect greater demand for this than the first game which was a slow burner, but now obviously has a very active community, I think it is going to be a while unlike the first game to see hefty price drops on this.

I really think this will follow a similar price path to the first outing. Sony were obviously keen to flog as many units as possible, so they could start raking in the cash from DLC. I can't see this being any different.

It's obviously going to drop in price, but I doubt it'll go as fast as #1.
It's a completely different situation. The first one being lauded but nobody really purchased it. This time there's going to be a big rush at first.

In case anyone is wondering how does the move works with this game. I have a few Dinosaur levels that were given free to me through the PS Store last year and I thought you could move the Sack boy with the Move. This is not the case.

To use the move is more like a two players move in which one player plays normally with the normal controller and the 2nd player only uses the move to do things in the screen (i.e. Moving boxes around forming a stair so the other player can go up)

In some levels you have to move the boxes with the move and hold them whilst the sack boy goes up if you release the box it goes back to the original position.

So you can't really play with a sackboy and a move controller, you have to use one of them. I guess is good fun the kids like it because I use the move to help them through the level and the two of them use their sack boys.

Not sure how this Little big planet 2 is but it might be similar to those that I have. If someone can confirm whether you can move the sackboy with the Move it would be apprieciated.

Why buy any games at all? I was looking on my freecycle area posts and someone is giving away a megadrive and 20 games! A megadrive was £300 and the games were at least £50, thats a £1300 saving and all I had to do was wait the best part of my whole lifetime!

All games reduce in price, my advice is to get this game soon. When everyone is playing it online, yes you can buy the first one for less than a tenner, but I imagine some online play is few and far between

Well, regardless of whether the price will drop quickly or not, this is actually slightly cheaper @ The Hut, plus they will give you Quidco.

£36.93 using the offer code OOTD1, plus 3.5% Quidco (should be about £1.29)

You're talking about 'Prehistoric Moves'. It's sort of a very short LBP 1.5. So I wouldn't rely on that for how move works with LBP2. Prehistoric Moves is a PSMove only game, where as LBP2 isn't.

Just bought it for £32.17 (and hopefully Quidco too) from Zavvi using the Britvic code.
Zavvi are also stating that you can pre-order now for delivery tomorrow.

Britvic code works by just registering on the site, then spamming three non-existent email addresses.
