Liverpool's Europa League play-off tie against Trabzonspor on August 19 will be a special family night at Anfield with supporters encouraged to bring younger members of their family to the game for just £5 each.

Tickets for adults will also be reduced in price to £10 each (over 65s £7.50) with accompanying kids costing £5.

The game against the Turkish side will be the final evening match of the school summer holidays and with the nights still light, it's the perfect chance to introduce the next generation of young Reds to the sights and sounds of a European night at Anfield.

Full selling arrangements and kick-off times will be confirmed shortly. The return leg will take place at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium on August 26.

Lol at the scousers in the Europa League. Thought this mickey mouse cup was beneath you! Not any more by all accounts - lucky to have scraped in. Saying all that it is still a good deal!

Not the cup we would've wanted to be in and tbh I'm sure if you asked any Liverpool fan they wouldn't be too fussed at going out of the Europa League early on. But....

A cup is a cup and Liverpool fans will support their team in ANY game they play. Be it AC Milan in the Champions League Final or Scunthorpe United in a pre season friendly.

Brilliant deal, should do it more often in my opinion.

"Brilliant deal, should do it more often in my opinion."

They will when they have a bigger ground. Lots more seats and lots more europa league footy. Thursday nights - you're having a laugh!!! :-)

Yes a mickey mouse cup but if you win it the club receives €7m in prize money alone. Same as losing in last 16 Champions league. So what was once a mickey mouse cup is a good source of income. Add gate receipts and tv revenue. You could be laughing,

After that performance at Anfield last night (and yes I did go) I'm really looking forward to this season.
I've personally never called this a mickey mouse cup. Let's face it. It's still a european competition with 1st class teams involved and it still helps with club finance.

I noticed this deal on their website earlier and will (hopefully) be able to get tickets. Might be tricky at this price though

c/mon u reds-we will return to the top competition watch this space

Last nights game was £20 an open sale to anyone of the street and we had 1000's of empty seats, the next game is back to normal with fan card holders, season ticket holders and PTS getting offered tickets first, so when they do go to general sale for £10 & £5 you'd have to be quick to get them. This is a good deal for regulars but not much of a deal for families without fan-cards as odd are you'd be split up around the group from your family.

i wish i could take advantage of this :( just cant get weekdays off work and its like 5 hours drive from where i am!! think i paid £35 for tickets in europa last year...

Hot deal if you want to watch European Football live. It's not the top competition but you could hardly call teams like Juventus mickey mouse - check their history.

Heh, having been to anfield and left the car on the road for a quick getaway, you need to pay the little s**ts who watch you park. Otherwise i guess it'll be minus a few parts :p

Bound to put out a decent team against the Turks so £10 is a bargain! Bet you can't even watch a League Division 4 game for this price.
#29
When you are a Liverpool supporter you have to accept other supporters will be envious, envious of being the most successful club in Britian, obviously I won't list all our honours as I don't have enough time to type them all but I would just like to say 5 Champions of Europe cups.............there enough said.

Ar$e, would deffo have gone to this if I hadnt have been stood in a field somewhere in Staffs drinking warm cider with 70,000 other people

Been a red all my life and the thought of the Mickey Mouse tournament makes me cringe but finally the useless fu*ks who run the club have realised if you reduce the tickets properly then they may fill the ground!!!
#33
I could buy a pack of toilet rolls with that kind of money. Cold as you get :P
