Been looking for one of these on the high street and this is around half the price of anything I could find.

Not sure if this price is online only.

Just picked mine up, very happy.

Just be careful though, they went and fetched me one without the individual switches that appeared to have the same product code.....soon rectified.

or four and some gum if you find a £20 note on the street

AmEx is more likely to happen that finding £20. I like your cavalier attitude to money by spending the remainder on gum. How frivolous!

Please check cpc first!!

This item was only £5.99 before the price drop which seems a good deal anyway. You're lucky to find one like this for less than £15 normally.

What does cpc stand for?

This is CPC
http://cpc.farnell.com/

A site that many HUKDians scan on an hourly basis for many unnecessary purchases :D

CPC is Combined Precision. I remember the Farnell Group from many years ago (and Premier as a separate company). As regulars on here know there are many bargains to be found in their free subscriber catalogues. Just received my latest £250 compedium of products by UPS standard delivery yesterday, within 24 hours of online order ! Good service from both call centre (if needed) and UPS ! Any order over £5 plus VAT gets free delivery.

Yes but that would be a criminal offence, prosecutable in Crown Court.

I've found cash on the floor numerous times, even found £50 hanging out of a cash machine once.

Good deal, but just so people know, your local fire brigade will usually give you these things for free because they are much safer than overloading with a block.

Same with Fire alarms. We got a few alarms and extensions for free as well as a safety inspection.
#15
Collected mine today! Checked they were the switched ones, very happy!

I had a quick look on their site and could only find ones which didn't come with the cable part so presumably you have to buy that separately and wire it up yourself?!

You are obviously looking in the wrong places. If you want ANYTHING with an electrical or electronic connection (pun intended) or something unusual always try CPC FIRST !!! If you have got any spare time, it is worth browsing their main catalogue, to find things you didn't know you wanted ! Register your email address for latest offers, better still supply your home address and you will get about 4 catalogues a month (it's not junk mail if you find a bargain !).
#25
Thanks, I did only have a quick look and their huge variety of products overwhelmed me!

Lancaster! I rang them up when I was a student because of Landlord hadn't installed fire doors, extinguishers or blankets and there was only one exit in the house (which was old, Victorian and an utter death trap ;) ). They came round, did a full inspection, gave us a load of extensions (as above) and fire alarms and (as it happens) reported the landlord to the council because 8 people were sharing a bathroom. That last bit wasn't quite relevant to fire.... but still....

Either way, I was quite chuffed. I still have a couple of them today. :D

I need a couple of these as I don't like the Chromecast downstairs or Western Digital permanently powered when not in use. Back up in price though. Damn!
