Boasting an 'A' energy rating, the competitively priced Logik LFC50S10 Fridge Freezer is economical to run, and is also easy to maintain thanks to an auto-defrost fridge and frost-free freezer. Height-adjustable safety glass shelves enable you to configure your refrigerated storage space perfectly to suit your food items.

Other useful features include a bottle retainer, egg tray, and salad crisper in the fridge, and clear-fronted freezer drawers for easy location of food and quick assessment of available space. The freezer has a fast freeze function to quickly get newly introduced foods down to an optimum temperature.

For the ideal way to manage and preserve your household's food, your search is over with the affordable Logik LFC50S10 Fridge Freezer!

Fridge-freezers are not designed to be used in a garage or outhouse therefore we recommend that you don't use them in any unheated area. Should you wish to store your fridge-freezer in such an area it is recommended that you buy a model with twin thermostats as this will help to reduce the risk of food being spoiled. The Logik LFC50S10 Fridge Freezer comes equipped with a single thermostat.

That is amazingly cheap for a frost free fridge freezer!!
#2
that looks lovely btw - and fabulous price

It's also quite small - only 50cm wide. Most frost-free models are 60cm or more. I'm having trouble finding one to replace my 55cm f/freezer. This one is certainly handy if you've a small kitchen.

If you dont want a "logik" (own brand DSG) hotpoint doa couple of 55cm models as do indesit (same company) you should also be able to find a few bekos.... not worked in refrigeration for a while now... but i doubt it's changed much

We are looking for a new fridge/freezer too, this could fit the bill. Anyone know if Logik stuff is OK quality?
#8
Yeah is this any good, could do with a new one myself.

//edit
Never mind this is a bit too small looking at it.

Do you think this would be OK size wise for 2 adults? Moving into our first home in a few weeks so need a bargain one asap!

Just came across it myself and did a google to see if there were any reviews, should have known it'd be on HUKD by now as well lol

Good price
#15
Good price, but is this a good brand. Never heard of it.
#16
199 at argos for bush which seems identical in spec
#17
Single thermostat means the fridge and freezer temperatures can't be controlled individually. That's why it will only work over a narrow range of room temperatures and it'll also be upset by things like putting stuff to freeze in the freezer compartment, resulting in the fridge going too cold while the food freezes, or if the thermostat only looks at the fridge, temperatures rising too much in the freezer if you forget to press the fast freeze button. Personally for an appliance which is supposed to last many years, I'd spend a bit more (insignificantly more when averaged out over that period) for one which is better designed.

Logik is merely a brand name of DSG, like Matsui. They'll stick that label on all sorts of things, like TVs.
#18
do you think these cheapo goods copy a similar mass design, because the bush one at argos that i'm considering looks identical - even the inside of the door. would there be any difference in quslity by going for bush?
#19
Yes - people need to understand that brand names mean very little nowadays. Because of globalisation, the only economic way to make goods is in vast quantities on vast production lines. People are then persuaded that they are somehow different by sticking a different label on the front of an otherwise identical product.

Single thermostat means the fridge and freezer temperatures can't be controlled individually...

The vast majority of fridge-freezers are single thermostat/single compressor because they're designed to be used in a kitchen maintained at a comfortable temperature (very few people still keep these things in the garage).

The thermostat will be in the fridge (as it's important to maintain the temp above 0 to prevent your milk freezing but below 5 to kep your food fresh) , the freezer will stay at about minus 18 under normal use (it doesn't matter if it gets too cold). The problems people have had with single thermostat/compressor units are when the room (garage) temp falls low enough that the compressor doesn't need to switch on the keep the fridge below 4 degrees so the freezer defrosts.

Fast freeze is handy if you're freezing significant quantities of fresh food but for storing ready meals and oven chips it's unnecessary so won't matter if you do forget.

The spec is more than adequate for most purposes and it can't be any worse built than most of the better known brands, unless you're willing to spend a lot more.

The fact that this one is very small also means it will use less electricity than a similarly A rated but larger unit. Buying a fridge-freezer that's bigger than you need is not energy efficient whatever it's energy efficiency rating.
#21
Oh yes, I agree it's adequate - but for something which is supposed to last a long time, and uses a lot of electricity, I'd just go for something better. The trouble with the freezer being colder than it needs to be is that it wastes energy as there is a greater temperature difference to ambient. And I presume a wider and shorter one would be more energy efficient as it will have less surface area.
#22
Don't suppose any one knows when this ends, does Monday mean midnight tonight or midnight tomorrow night?
#23
i spent an extra tenner which enabled me to use the 5% discount code and essentially got that extra item for free :)
#24
I have just acquired a Logik fridge/freezer with one thermostat. I am happy enough with the temp. in the fridge, but am finding
food in the freezer e.g. ice cream etc. cannot be defrosted easily. It is taking me hours to defrost certain foods.
Can you explain why this?
