Enjoy the wonder of wireless with the smart-looking Logitech Combo MK270 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Set.

Working without wires

The Combo MK270 keyboard and mouse use 2.4 GHz wireless technology, providing a reliable and secure connection without dropouts or delays. It has a 10 metre range, and uses the compact Logitech Unifying reciever, which recieves the signal for both your wireless keyboard and mouse so you don't need to use two USB ports. It can be stored in the internal storage compartment in the mouse when you're out and about, helping to keep it safe.

Long battery life

The keyboard uses two AAA batteries, whilst the mouse requires an AA battery. You won't need to replace the batteries very often, as the mouse has a 12 month battery life whilst the keyboard has an impressive 24 month battery life. It also includes an auto-sleep feature which helps to save battery.

Ideal for work and play

Very well spotted OP. Dedicated media buttons a nice touch. Free delivery on a low price item too. Would cost me a fiver to drive to my nearest store. Heat added.

Very good :-) these any good

Not a bad price, however that price is pretty over-exaggerated. I have this model for my backup PC and I find myself replacing the batteries every other month in my mouse, and about every 3 in the keyboard, and that's with light to medium use.

So what are you saying ( apart from the fact you use Poundland batteries (_;) )

This is the new version that comes with nano and not unifying receiver so you won't be able to connect any other Logitech devices. Packaging of the old and new set is practically identical. Nevertheless very good price for the keyboard and mouse.

Had my set a couple of years. I think I've replaced the batteries once. They're used with my work PC, so get used a lot. Maybe try different batteries!

This surprises me actually. I use this at work (7am to 3:30 mon-fri constant use - I'm a programmer working on the command line) and My batteries seem to go on for ages! Couldn't comment on the mouse however, I barely use it - wonder if that has much bearing. Certainly worth taking Luke's points into consideration if you're considering buying it though.

One thing I did find however was that there was interference with the wireless signal at first - ended up putting the dongle in a USB extension and hanging on the window!

Nice deal OP - excellent piece of kit at this price (and who likes paying postage?

Edit: p.s. I use Duracell rechargeable batteries. No idea if they're considered longer or shorter lasting than standard ones - but the spares are left in the charger bored most the year ;)
