Just noticed this rechargeable mouse on Tesco direct for £14.97. I have a very similar one that I am using now and find it really good. It has the forward and back buttons on the side to move back to previous page etc. I paid a lot more than this for mine although I think the original price of £49.97 was a bit ambitious. Cheapest I could see elsewhere was £31.

Nice find. Been after a cordless rechargable for a while, since my last one broke. Didn't want to pay silly money.

Super deal.

I was about to buy one, but I read that the base needs to be connected to your pc usb port and also plugged into an electricity socket for the mouse to work. Not that practical for a laptop.
#3
Good deal, and they seem pretty confident it's wireless according to the specs. :)

Come on, Tesco, commit yourselves. Does this thing have wires?

Very nice find OP, thanks.

Looks a good deal to me have some heat
#6
It looks VERY similar to the mouse/keyboard combo I have at work and that does require electricity.

where did you read that??

May be the case to charge it, but I'd be surprised if you need to do that just to operate the mouse

Yeah you're right if I am about it being the same as the one I have - it'll work without wires but you've gotta hook it up to recharge....

I have had one of these for the past year and :thumbsup:it has taken a lot of abuse over that time but keeps on wotking A1 mouse worth the money.
#12
anyone know what sort of batteries it takes? If it's standard AA or AAA then the recharging thing is not so much of an issue to me, but if it's a specialist battery that would be more of a pain.
#13
My current logitech mouse plugs into the mains and also a USB so I imagine this will be the same. It is not really designed for a laptop I use mine on my main PC, the fact that it plugs into the mains means you dont have to take out the batteries to recharge them it does it automatically when you put the mouse in its cradle just like wireless home telephones.

Doesent have official Windows 7 support though this is an older product line. There is support for both 32 and 64 bit Vista so will ALMOST certainly work with 7 but i just had to replace my previous Logitech mouse because it was causing sytem hangs on 7.

Try looking at the picture

You don't need to remove the batteries, so it will not be an issue.

If you want a specific laptop mouse I would recommend the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. It has a USB wireless receiver that plugs into your USB port when in use and fits into the back of the mouse when not in use, which not only stores it safely, but switches off the mouse as well. It is available around the same price as this one, though I only paid £9 for it, but can't find it at this price now.

As mentioned above, the base only needs to be plugged in to a USB slot for the mouse to work. You only need to plug the base into the mains to charge it. It lasts absolutely ages between charges though.

Brilliant mouse, big, nice and weighty, good ergonomics, pinpoint accurate!

So can this mouse be charge up by USB port or it have to plug it to the mains to charge?

My current one has 2 x AA rechargeable batteries in. It doesn't say what type this takes but I think they will be standard.

Bit pants that! Cheers for reply

Thanks OP, sounds like I got the last one. Been using a logitech wireless for the last two years and my only issue was that it gets flakey when the batteries start to run down so this should sort that.

I found this mouse in my local Tesco Extra along with other half price Logitech products like a webcam for about £12 plus a great deskset MK300 @ £19.97 and also a great deal on some speakers.

Great deals Tesco!
