I'm using one of these to type this on my tv using my media centre pc and it works great. It's not just for PS3s.
#3
Seen a new silver one on ebay for 20,00 with 5.00 delivery.
#4
It looks like the silver version on eBay is not bluetooth.
#5
Does this cone with it's own Bluetooth dongle or will it pair with my Microsoft mouse one?

i think it pairs straight with your ps3 as it has bluetooth built in
#7
Does this keyboard have key markings to match the controller button icons?

This keyboard has its own touch pad and yeah its bluetooth also can be used for the PC in conjuction with a bluetooth dongle. . . The ones on Ebay are rubbish, Italian import without the pound sign ( £ ) or the windows Key!! And who wants a white keyboard for a nice black PS3? This is far the cheapest and a bargain. . . :-)

For more detail go on the offical website for more detail about this keyboard. . .

The Bluetooth in this keyboard is bulit in, And yes you can use it on the PC but its specially for the PS3. . .

This is a good price, especially for the english one with so many cheap Italian ones on ebay, only issue for me is it won't pair to 2 different things at the same time, eg. laptop and ps3, which is a shame as that's what i wanted one for, on to the older silver one me thinks

Ordered - thanks

Yep, me too.

Very frustrating I reckon.
#17
so can it be used with my pc and with my ps3 ? meaning not at the same time
#18
I'm looking for a decent keyboard for my PC.
This looks good, but put off by the lack of numeric keypad.

Does anyone have a wireless keyboard they'd really recommend?
#19
Very cheap for a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard, but I think they are really designed for games console usage, don't think they are really suitable for a PC.

yes
#22
Well yes it will work, but its primaraily designed for use with a PS3...

Some buttons will be differerent, e.g. no windows-key and extra buttons for the X and O you get on a PS3 controller etc
#23
I must resist..
#24
I have one of these for me htpc, touchpad is too small but you get used to it
#25
Hate wireless keyboards/mice - wouldn't thank you for one.

I've had a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for seven years and no problems here.

By the way, is that Meg and Chris in a three legged race? :-D

I have one of these for my PS3 downstairs as originally I bought the clip on keyboard that connects directly to the controller. Used that once and didn't like it so ended up ordering this for about £35 delivered. Not a bad price from Dell so well done OP for posting this deal....
A very nice piece of kit and works well with the PS3 as it has the triangle, x, circle and square buttons on it. One thing it doesn't have is the PS button so you can't startup/shutdown the PS3 but no great hardship to press the button on the console or use a normal controller...

I just don't know what to do dammit! I really want a keyboard and mouse that I can just switch between the two easily but that's not going to happen. If you turn the keyboard on whilst both your laptop and PS3 are on, does it default to the PS3 thinking the laptop is the secondary device?

I have only just ordered one but I think its just like a normal bluetooth device. You will need to pair it with the system you want to use it with. If you want to use it with something else, you will again have to pair it.
#30
I see, the pairing process with the PS3 is very quick in my experience, same with my USB dongle on my laptop. Think i'll take the plunge as I won't be home from uni until the end of May where I'll start using it properly.

I've been using this for my PS3 for 2 months now and it's an excellent piece of kit.

I've also tried using it with my macbook and it works flawlessly as well. You have to pair both devices but you only need to do it once. However, you can't obviously use the keyboard with 2 devices at the same time. It will detect and pair with whichever device you switched on first.

Does tis thing work with the logitech setpoint software, so that when you use the media controls eg volume pause play and displays them on screen/? ID like a volume change feature

Yes it'll work provided you have a bluetooth connection on your pc that is.

It won't work at the same time (I'm not sure what you meant, but what I mean is you can't have your keyboard type the word "Hello" at the same time on both your PS3 and PC) but I've paired this with both my PS3 and macbook pro and it works. If I switched on my PS3 first, then it'll pair with my PS3 automatically and vice versa.
#35
ordered thanks... was thinking of getting one off ebay with the missing windows key and '£' sign but fort i'll hang on a few days... glad i did! thanks again!!
#36
Want to get one, but not sure whether it comes with a dongle for PC connection
#37

I dont think it comes with a bluetooth dongle. (after all, the ps3 had bluetooth built in)

I've just bought a bluetooth dongle off ebay for £1. (hong kong) BT 2.0 compliant,so should do the job.

Cant wait to receive this, have a couple of keys on my laptop keyboard you have to smash, for them to work:$

Heat and Rep added OP. Many thanks again.

Yes, I currently use one in my living room for my acer revo 3610 which runs ubuntu. I also run XBMC on top of XBMC (rather than live), and the keyboard works fine.

No dongle as such. As it is bluetooth, the device you want to pair it with either needs to have bluetooth built-in, or have a bluetooth adapter such as a USB adapter/dongle.

I haven't tried it with my PS3, but it works fine on my pc (htpc) which runs ubuntu (linux).
