Good price although the normal price is around £50. Ebuyer were doing this for just under £30 about a year ago - its a fantastic wheel for the price

Awesome price if this is nationwide.

It bugs me Logitech haven't brought out the G25 for the consoles yet. Seems like such a waste...

Mmmm!

Not strictly true, the G25 works perfectly with the PS3. Some games even use the clutch :)
#10
Got one of these for £50 from Game a while back, it's a very nice steering wheel, you can turn the forcefeedback on/off by unplugging the power cable (the wheel still works, just makes it a bit easier! :p). It has what Jeremy Clarkson calls 'flappy paddles' for the gears, easy to get used to them. Only issue is that it feels very small after driving an actual car. Nice find!
#11
I have the official wheel. Has anyone used both for comparison?
#12
There's one of these sitting in the Aberdeen TK_Maxx if anyone is interested
#13
Half a dozen at Bromley on the 1st floor

G25 works with no issues on PS3 and PS2. GT5 Prologue supports full H shifter and clutch, and so do quite a few other games.

Midnight Club LA is an absolute blast with the g25!

I have owned both. Bought the DriveFX when it first came out as it was the only decent option at the time (MS wheel not out by then)

The Logitech DriveFX is a much better unit in the build quality stakes, but unfortunately due to it being Microsofts tech, they haven't got full force feeback only "axial" feedback which is basically the wheel emulating the feedback given to a normal control pad and amplifying it.

The official wireless wheel has proper force feedback and gives a better experience on games that support that (Forza 2, PGR4 etc). The wheel itself however can be a bit dodgy on quality. Lots have broken or developed calibration issues, and the wheel, in my opinion doesn't feel as "realistic" as the logitech one.

That said, given a choice it'd still have to be the MS wheel, the feedback is worth it.

i seen theses come in as i work in tkmaxx
thought about getting myself one but didnt

they also had the HD DVD drive

i didnt post on hear because i dint think many other stores would have any

Fanatec have managed to make a wheel 360 compatible as well as PC&PS3 depending on the version you buy. It also supports the pedals from the G25 & MS Wheel plus their own high end aluminium pedals with load cell sensors so I'm not sure why Logitech can't.

The snag is Fanatec wheel is Porsche branded & limited edition priced in euros (getting dearer by the day} with a waiting list. I hope they put some of this tech into a non endorsed wheel as there has to be a licence fee etc.
#23
Got one today in Reading and they have 4 left but very disappointed because it has a two pin power supply so it won't work .

I might try looking for an adapter but it might be hard to find one, If not its going back.
#24
good wheel but pales to the official wireless wheel in terms of force feedback.

its a hot deal, IF you only have that much money to spend.

I got the official wheel on launch from littlewoods direct for £50 with discount code and must say its a far better experience.

re build quality on official - it is true the early models were a little hit and miss (matches the console then ;) ) but when my unit failed after 6 month - internal power issue it worked on batteries

microsoft were great and just posted me out a new one without sending back the old one.

when i asked what to do with the old one they siad just bin it. So my new one arrived, and its been solid ever since (and i opened up my old one, fixed it and sold it to a mate for £30 :) )
from what i can tell the early reliability issues are fixed now so i would go official.

PS if the official "good" logitec wheel worked on the 360 i would be as happy as a pig in pooh - but it doesnt.

well seems like this is a decent wheel, may go back and get myself one.

funny all this heat and one bit of rep lol

i thought the adapter was in the box, if not one should be easy to get hold of, wouldnt they be the same type as the ones you need to charge an electric shaver, as they always come with 2 pin adapters
#28
Just picked one up from Merry Hill. They still had plenty.

I'm hoping that my shaver adaptor will work, but not had chance to test this yet.
#29
would anyone pick a norwich fan one up, none in stock near me will pay postage
#30
got offered a whole pallet of these (72 units) at £17.50 + vat about 5 days ago (totally legit) , so theere will probably be a glut of them soon and I will expect that the units I got offered will probably turn up on ebay soon.
#31
Couple of things. In Paisley, they had 5, i bought one this morning. Its not £29.99 as thats the price before the vat cut, so its £28.45.

Secondly, they dont have UK plugs on them, so you either need a convertor or force the plug in the socket. I took it back after finding this out though.

Available in Game for the same price plus reward points.
Out of stock as of this very minute, but an alternative to those not wanting the 2 pin euro/US version (or whatever it is)

I've seen a few at Ealing branch...

THANKS for the heads-up!
Rep Added!

i went to the Apple store in Brent Cross to check out the latest comments & as soon as i saw your comment i almost ran out of the store!

looked around the Ealing branch, was gutted when i didnt come across any - went outside for a couple of mins & came back in to have a second look around.
I'm so glad i did, they were on the left of the mens socks; top shelf :)

There were 3 left instock at the Ealing branch (store is right next to HMV) when i left - i purchased mine at approx 1pm.
Best to call up the store & reserve if possible :)

incase anyone is wondering, none in Harrow or Brent Cross stores (we'll, not that i saw).

I have one of this PC version:

Formula Force EX PC Wheel £44.49 Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BRXU3G/

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/513M4FSD8TL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

Does any one know if I can modify it so that it works on XBOX 360?

On the wheel itself (PC Version), NFS Underground etc for PC is quite good with this.
