Or, enter "Logitech Driving Force GT" on the Argos search.

---

Now these seem to be out of stock everywhere, but Argos seem to be getting a batch back in...

This WILL appear as out of stock on the site, but if you click "Reserve it now" you will be prompted to enter your postcode.

Enter your postcode and you should then get a screen saying "Store Pickup at *insert branch here* - Order into store to collect Tues 18th - Thur 20th January"

Now the dates i've got have varied by store, but they have all been from this Monday onwards. So, it seems that the warehouse have stock and will be shipping them out by demand.

Anyway, click "Buy or reserve" underneath, then on the next page you should see "Store pick-up - Can be reserved, subject to stock", click reserve under here (long winded, i know!)

Enter your postcode again(!!!), press enter, then on the next page you can select your store to pickup from. Enter your deals, click "Place reservation" and boom, its yours :)

I know its a tad long winded, but they are in stock anyway, even if that VAT increase has propped it up a little...

Hope this makes a few of you happy!

I have one of these reserved for pick-up at my local Argos....But, do I go for this, at £81, or the G27 I have orderd from Logitech for £199 ?

£118 extra for the G27. Is it worth it?
#3
are these worth it?

bloody hope so now i've ordered one!!

i've played on one and it made the game better IMO.
#5
yes totally worth it - makes the game just that much more awesome....need a big telly tho
#6
Been looking for one of these for ages. Nice find OP. Ordered!
#7
This is awesome guy, I've been waiting for these to come back in stock for ages.

Thanks Guy!

This is only a deal in that it is out of stock at most other stores. The price is nothing special as they've been £80 for months and cheaper with vouchers, codes, etc. Now that the GT5 release and Christmas rush for wheels is over, and as this is still a very current logitech product, I'd expect to see a lot more stock sooner rather than later.

Bottom line: if you're dying to get one of these wheels now, go for it at this price, but don't buy it thinking you're getting a great deal in terms of price.

Voted hot regardless as these have indeed been hard to come by lately.

This improves your experience with racing games.

Especially on games like, Gran Turismo 5 and F1 2010.

This wheel on Gran Turismo 5 on the Nurburgring, ahh believe me its beautiful!

Missus bought me one for chrimbo from Argos at slightly less than this price. I previously had a Logitech Driving Force EX and the GT is definitely worth the extra money.

Amazing amount of force feedback. If you mess up a corner in GT5 this wheel will wrench itself out of your hands. I don't use manual gears (pussy!) so I set the gear stick up as pull back for handbrake, push up for reverse gear. Quite handy when the wheel loses control and you're struggling to find the triangle button for reverse.

How does this connect to the PS3, with a long USB lead?
#13
... and to think most places were sellings these off at £40-£60 18 months ago when GT5 was delayed.

I've just reserved one with a 'pick up in store date of 19-22-jan, argos site says 'currenet selling price valid untill the 21st-jan, which makes me wonder what argos plan to price it at on the 22nd-jan??? hmmm, decisions decisions....... anyway, heat added....

Just reserved one. Thanks :D
#17
how much are these usually?
#18
For almost all of last year they were £65 most places. As soon as GT5 approaches release the price of a two or three year product gets bumped up by everyone.

I'm sure you could get it for £80 and use one of the Game Chrstimas giveaway £10 off £50 a few weeks ago.

I have the GT wheel and its incredible. Makes the gsames very enjoyable even if your not the best at them!!

I managed to get it for under £50 last year on play.com's one day deals and used the saved money to by the wheel stand pro. This really makes the difference. I think they ship from Poland but the speed and service of delivery was incredible. I even lost a bolt and they immediately sent me replecements FOC!!

Heres the link and with the stand I don't see the need to buy the very expensive G27

Still the best price around so voted hot

Still wondering whether the G27 is worth the extra £118?

i wouldn't say so, does it actually have any features which are worth 118 quid to you?
#22
I got mine from Argos for about this price, don't forget Argos do game trade ins, I ended up only paying £15 for mine. It makes Gt5 and F1 2010 much better and more fun, only trouble was it took a while before my lap times beat those I'd set with my controller but they are still falling as I get used to it. I have mine set ip on a wheelstand pro.
#23
I reserved mine but haven't received my reservation number oO what gives? Anyone else had this problem?

I spotted this on Friday and reserved one for pickup between today and Wednesday - got my reservation number straight away.

Just got back from the store but apparently it still hasnt been delivered! They have exteneded my reservation for 2 weeks and told me to ring up the store everyday to check for delivery.

Where will I stand if the price goes up after 21st and I still havent got it?!
#25
Picked mine up today and am very impressed with it. Beat my old lap times using the PS3 controller easily without changing configuration or even calibrating the wheel. The force feedback is great to. I read a lot of comments from people saying the brake pedal was too soft and you had to calibrate it before every race but I don't have an issue with it.
#26
I bought mine just after GT5 was released from Amazon for £79.99 within 3 weeks it had gone upto £136 odd. Supply and demand eh....
#27
How are these compared with the driving force wireless? I'd really love to have pedals and gearshift
#28
These came into stock in Milton Keynes Monday, picked it up, increased VAT of course, but it's only a couple of quid. GT5 doesn't seem worth playing without this once you've tried, the force feedback is incredible.
#29
The prices are only guaranteed until 21st because a new catalogue is out on the 22nd.
#30
None in stock at the 15+ stores around me! :(
#31
Followed the instructions but it doesn't work for me. Can't get any stock reserved :(
#32
personally dont think this is worth it....seen it on play once for £60, and £80 just seems too high for this
