Pretty Good price, I bought it for £79.99 from amazon before GT5 was released but has gone up and out of stock most places, seems to be £100+ everywhere these days...
#2
it says on argos site that price is guaranteed til july so looks like it will be a bargain for quite a while as long as they have stock
#3

Not much stock though

yes but there is SOME stock. Buy it or dont buy it.
#6
depends on where you are, m8 - not available for home delivery. None at all in about 50 miles of me - shame as I intended buying as a present. If there's one in your area, I'd snap it up - superb wheel - and voted hot for those who can find stock.

Good price ... but its ashame that I traded gt5 in for £35 at gamestation
#15
Yes, i know what your saying and when i got mine a few weeks ago i kept checking Argos website every day and they do turn up in dribs and drabs. Its GT5 that has caused it to be so popular as prior to that it was easy to get hold of. I paid a few pounds less for mine but to be fair this is still not a bad price compared to most other retailers now. The only issue is what to attach the wheel to! Stands are very expensive but do make it more enjoyable. Anyone found a stand at a good price? and i dont mean a black and decker workbench. lol

Well, it was posted before at a lower price. The post I linked to is "updated" to include the increase in cost... So what exactly does the new post provide? Nothing.

It provides everything as the title was not updated in the other thread to reflect the price increase, hence a new thread.

argos has fresh stock now

Great wheel, good feedback and feel. pedals are awful in comparison, ok for the average gamer who may not spend this much anyway but for a serious driving fan like me who has owned a g25 i found the pedals only just bearable after rigging them up with bungee cord for more resistance.

lol? i always wonder why they don't bother including a clutch pedal...surely it wouldn't take much doing? although i suppose none of the game manufacturers script realistic cars because it would just be a pain in the bum.

Forza 3 and numerous PC driving sims allow use of a clutch 8)

Happy to answer any question regarding PC use. I bought one late last Summer and mainly play Grid, NFS: Shift, Dirt 2 and F1.
I have tried a lot of other games though, some of which I do not recommend using a wheel.

Bit of a pointless excercise if you can't feel the bite point?!

out of stock in all the 12 argos's in my area but allows to order into shop for the 8th ;)
#30
I got one a couple of weeks ago. Had to order it into store from the website, If you check daily, stock is coming in and out of many stores. Well worth the wait I must say, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. Very happy with it

I was going to order from Argos, but my local Cash Converters had this steering wheel used but good condition. Got it for £55 which was a bargain, as even on ebay the average used price is around £80.

Takes some getting used to if you haven't experienced this wheel before, and it needs a good solid stand to mount it on. I have found that an ironing board is the best and cheapest method that works, otherwise you are looking at around £95 for one of the stands from Germany.
#33
mine is screwed to a heavy speaker stand.
#34
argos ne scotland stores seem to have some stock or order to store for collection

Erm, they are 'racing', not tootling around Tesco car park, or riding the clutch at the traffic lights.

You don't need to feel the bite point when racing, gear changes are tenths of a second, you just shove the bloody thing down.
