this coming down by so much makes me think there could be a new wheel on the way for GT5, I know this is the wheel labelled as the "Gran Turismo Wheel" but it's been out so long you'd think logitech would want to release an upgraded one that could sell for greater RRP.

I have owned this wheel, purchased at £90 a week after release (used a friends Game staff discount, should have been £120) to use with Prologue and it was great, feedback is immense and at this price a total bargain. The pedals are plastic though which was a disappointment at a price of £90 but at £50 having plastic pedals is par for the course.

Edit: Just to add that with using the wheel lap times after the 'getting used to it' period were slightly faster than using the joypad and made the game much more rewarding.

Are there any adapters to make this work on the XBOX360 too ?

Has anyone used both this wheel and the G25? Is it worth paying extra for the G25?

The G25 has much better pedals and overall better build quality, but the additional buttons on the wheel make this good for GT5.

Thanks:thumbsup: What are the additional buttons used for in GT5 (I've never played it before!)?

Cheers for that...don't think I'll ever get into the game that much as well.

Is this one wireless? I really need to get a wheel, but I don't want to get one that is obsolete after a few months due to GT5's release

Exactly what I had - An official 360 wheel and a G25. It was a pain to swap wheels on my gaming rig so I ended up ordering the Fanatec 911 Turbo S wheel which isn't cheap but it's the only wheel that will work on PS3 and 360 (And PC too)
Quality is fantastic on it and now Forza 3 is much better to play than what it was using the official 360 wheel

Good luck

Nick

Thank you for this - nearly bought it at £72 last week!!

what do you guys put them on? it doesnt look comfortable on your lap.
#15
I've never used a wheel, but all the top 10-20 times on GT5 demo time trial used a wheel.

get a cheap table from ikea. for about £5 and attach it to that, works a treat. I have the 360 wheel which is great for forza and have ordered this for GT5. Many thanks for the heads up.

got one last time it was £20 (there was a £5 voucher as well)

well worth the money, for a giggle, try a 'vette with road tires, all aids (abs, traction control and stability) off, in professional physics mode. bloody tricky, and slow, but fun

Nope, Microsoft don't like people using non-xbox 360 certified controllers
