i take it this doesnt interfere with 2.4ghz wireless internet signal?
#2
Is this the one that you actually have to have plugged into the wall - making it not exactly fully "wireless"

I assume that it is the same one as the HUT were doing for 34.99, which i think is this one.

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/wheels/devices/4565&cl=gb,en

Which means that it DOES need a cable to connect to the mains, and 2.4Ghz would cause some interference with WiFi depending on the channel number and the distances (unless I'm mistaken)

About as much interference as your wireless keyboard / mouse / joypad / bluetooth headset, guitar etc etc etc ...

Just got one for 34.99 from the hut. seems pretty good buy for the money, no problems with interference for me and being wireless to the console helps by not having a cable laying across the lounge floor, mains is plugged in behind the sofa.

Well worth £30 unless you are a really serious gamer, for the occasional blast round a track while sitting on the sofa without the hassle of finding somewhere to fit a wheel I doubt it can be beaten for the price.

I take it it doesnt come with pedals ?
#7
no pedals, accl and brake are on the wheel.

Cheers for the additional information and your feedback on it - when looking at the picture (even when zoomed in) I can't seem to make out where the gear shift is (or if there is one).

Could you please comment on where they are located and your view on its placement?

Not a hardcore gamer especially in racing games so this is certainly an interesting deal.

I dont think it would, PS3 controllers are on 2.4GHz anyway. The PS3 may have some sort of technology to switch / use a different channel for the wireless peripherals perhaps, I'm really not sure.

PS3 uses bluetooth, which is why you can use any BT mobile phone headset as a mike for online play.

The wheel being 2.4ghz is extremely unlikely to cause problems - Xbox 360 controllers all work on that frequency and you don't hear gamers on that system complaining that their wifi and or baby monitors don't work. ;-)

There isn't a gear lever rather an L1 & R1 at 9 and 3 O'clock on the wheel. I still havent graduated to my own gear selection so cant comment on how well placed they are in that respect but I have found me hitting the L1 button in the heat of the action (getting out of the gravel on NFS Shift). There arent any pedals either which suits me as it makes storing and pulling out the wheel a simpler / quicker experience, the pedals are the flappy pedals that you would expect to bear gear shifters, I found it works well enough though.

I have to say I'm not a hardcore racing car gamer but do love playing them and this wheel has certainly made it a lot more pleasurable. I would defo recommend especially at £30. I got mine from The Hut last week for £35'ish.

No problems with interference here either.

I would seriously recommend spending a bit more and getting the Driving Force GT! It can be sometimes found at £50. MUCH better build quality (almost up there with the G25/27) and comes with pedals (no clutch).

Many thanks OP. Should work grate witht he casual racer (me). I just donet have the room for anything elce.

God that was fast ! It arrived nest day!

I Have spent some time playing with my new toy and can recomend it to the casual racer like myself.

Mine arrived after only 1 working day too! nice work sendit! (and thanks OP too!)

This wheel is much larger than I was expecting, especially as at the moment its sat next to 4 wii mario kart ones and makes up more room than all of them.

Seems fair decent though, comfortable if a little low on the lap, I'll play some more and see how it goes. fingers crossed it'll improve my game in burnout paradise - even with giotech triggers the accelerate trigger on the normal controller kills my finger!

If you're ordering, don't forget the pound off voucher! I don't think quidco works on anything but the first order from sendit.
