I've been looking for a cheap Mac compatible gamepad and found this one.
It's at the AppleStore for £24.95, though the RRP is £19.99! Comet is currently selling it online and in-store for £14.99, £5 off (though their website says £4).
Picked up one today after reserving online. Standard delivery is a whopping £5.95 so any free delivery vouchers would be welcomed.
I'm sure there are better gamepads out there but for us Mac users the choice is far more limited.

Hope this is of use to someone else facing the same predicament.
Thanks to everyone who has posted. If you spot a bargain - post it and hopefully it will be of interest to someone else too.
All the best!

Hi designaw,

Yeah, finding decent compatible controllers can be an annoyance, and in my experience usually a bit rubbish in the quality and game-compatibility departments too.

If you already have a console lying about, you want to buy a simple usb converter and (with the right drivers off the web), use a decent (as in REAL! :w00t:) console pad.

I use an Xbox S-controller with my Mac from time to time, the drivers are also (now) free.

Original Xbox pad drivers

360 Pad drivers. Guitar Hero support as well!
Thanks Nookster, top tip!

I have an Xbox that I use solely for playing DVDs since my player died. I might give the controller a go as its a good size.
You know you can get a wired 360 pad for around £17.99 from play http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/719734/-/Product.html?P36=5VGMF6 - personally would prefer that, not sure if its mac compatible tho!
