As it's Dell, worth trying to Price Match PC World

It's very nice but I really doubt it'll drop in price much at all.

*Jakg strokes his G25*

:D

PC Racing games include NFS, GRiD, GTR, LFS, rFactor, GTL, RACE etc...

this wheel sucks im afraid the G25 is the best followed on by my fav Driving Force GT! :D

Not a bad price but PC racing games are few and far between. GRID was released on the PC too though as far as I know?

I'm holding out for the Logitech G25 wheel to come down in price (it's been the same for well over 16 months now). No point in the accel/brake foot pedals if you've not got the gearstick to go with it as well! ~£145 is around the cheapest I can find it for though :(

nice! :D

Ive had my eyes on this one for sooooooo long...

Just a note that the 15% Dell discount on this particular item ends on 30th July - I just put my order in for it today. Judging by the Amazon UK reviews which are unanimously 5-star (and the wheel is 28 quid there!), this looks like an absolute bargain (BTW, an earlier commented mentioned no gear stick - there's paddles on the wheel to change gears).

Is this the first time a half-decent brand new wheel/pedal set is under 20 quid in the UK? BTW, the Logitech site has driver/calibration downloads for Vista, so don't panic if you think Vista won't work with it - the descriptions seem to fail to mention Vista at all, which is surprising).

Another G25 owner here....
I was like you guys waiting.... and waiting.... for the price to drop. In the end I took the plunge and ordered it from TGrav.com as there was a voucher at the time (Last year) that made it the cheapest on the web. Connected upto my Playseat it is brill (Although the most difficult thing is finding the time to play it and also that it's not compatible with my 360 so I have to change wheels and pedals depending on which console I use!)

The 15% discount at the Dell site is applied automatically for this item until 30th July - you see the discount as a line item when you go to the checkout (and that's where I saw the 30th July expiry for it). You will still need to use the 10% discount code attached to this deal to get down to the 19.25 pounds price. Also note that the item is part of the free delivery discount too (which expires on 31st October and is also an automatic discount). Price is now 20.39 pounds (inc the 10% discount code) until 10th Aug - the 15% automatic discount has dropped to 10%.

I was e-mailed the Internet Reference number for my wheel order and I just plugged it into their Order Status page (why the freak do you have to do this - it's crazy I need the IR number...surely Dell can tie orders to my account automatically? Every other online retailer does!). Snag is, the "Order Status service is currently not available"!

Last I checked, mine was due on 14th August, which is dismally slow, but I've been using arrow keys for playing racing games for years, so i can survive a few more weeks :)

I dont know why I didnt get a email. I do recall paying because it wouldn't take my debit card so has to use the credit car to order

I emailed them today about the order as I have an account with them, what a waste of time that was. I dont know why it hasnt come as I need the order number and another number. They cant seem to as you said tie this up with name/address

Dear xxx,

Thank you for contacting Dell online customer service

Once the order is placed online you will get an order confirmation with an Internet receipt number, If you haven't received any confirmation mail please place a new order online on www.dell.co.uk or call our sales department(0870 907 4000

It took 23 days for Dell to finally ship my steering wheel, though the Bank Holiday weekend means the earliest I should see it would be tomorrow (26th Aug). It looks like it was out of stock for 3 weeks then and yet they were happily taking orders with no indication that they couldn't fulfil for quite some time. Still, all will be forgiven if it turns up this week and actually works...

I have no idea what is going on, no record of the order yet I did enter my details of my card etc and I remember getting a email about the order soon off but I must have deleted it
