This is my first post, sorry if its unsuitable since its not in stock at the moment. I just thought at this price it could be worth placing an order and waiting a week or so for delivery. I've noticed this item go up and down in price on Dabs the past few weeks. I think it was as high as around £165 only a few days ago.

Logitech G25 Racing Wheel - £95.67 Delivered - Stock Due 1-2 Weeks

For Comparison....

Logitech.com - £199.99
PC World - £199.99
Ebuyer - £177.00
Overclockers.co.uk - £164.49
Komplett - £145.00

To get it for £95.67 Delivered - I used the Dabs free delivery voucher (seemed to work with my Maestro - even though its supposed to be for Visa) and paid using Google Checkout.

If you're into racing simulations, this is what you need.

* 900° Rotation: Go 2½ times around lock to lock, or switch to 200° to support standard games.

GREAT wheel (love mine), but it'os worth about £140, although it feels like a million dollars :p

I'm geussing when they get stock in they will raise the price back up again though....
#3
i cant beleive that price, will they honour it you think ?
#4
AMAZING PRICE,the bloke who posted it as a hot deal at £146 needs to look at this thread as a wake up call.
#5
its £95.67 Delivered going through google even without free delivery for me ? anyone else see that, i think its free delivery anyway how ever you pay for this.
#6

#7

I believe that's me. And yes, I spotted it way way before this thread was posted but didn't put it up simply because there will be a lot of people let down. 1-2 weeks and no stock at present means more than you think. Basically, if they honour it, it will be nothing short of a miracle.

i paid £180 at xmas and it was sold out t most places, a must have if you are into racing games

Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
Not available for sale

Not only have they taken it off sale but I guess they may not honour the orders placed so far either.

I suspect this will be the case after my experience with 2 different monitor orders I placed with them previously of the same status.

The order which showed in stock however, did arrive.
#13
well i not had a cancelation from google checkout or dabs so far.
#14
Shame it expired - top wheel!

Hey JakG, glad to see an LFS forum member here! :)
#15
Thanks to the orignal poster, I've gone for it, no rejection email yet. Fellow LFS racer here too :)
#16
I have not seen any real negative reviews so far. It really is that good. As close as you will ever get to simulation standard in this price bracket.
#17
any news on this from the guys that have placed a order ?
#18
I've heard nothing since the original confirmation email - No news is good news I guess.
#19
did u order through google checkout, as then we will not hear from them as they do all the work for dabs.com, strange as its not even listed on dabs as for sale anymore.
#20
Yep, I went through Google Checkout.
If everything was gonna be alright with the order, I wouldn't really expect to hear anything else anyway, till their dispatch email - which wouldn't be for a week or so yet as they were still supposed to be awaiting stock.

I guess it's possible that they have withdrawn it from the site cause they've already pre-sold their allocation of G25's to people like us :)

This wheel was originally intended as a special limited edition (since the manufacturing cost is relatively high with respect to the numbers sold and the fact that it's aimed towards a niche market). It wouldn't surprise me if it stopped being sold in 4-5 months and followed the same fate as the Red MOMO (the previous flagship model).
#22
It's back...but it's £144 :(
#23
ok guys i just sent them this email, i will get back to you on reply.

Hate to say it- but not a smart move. You should have let them process the order as it may now be queried which could lead to cancelled orders. Has happened one too many times on HUKD.

On a seperate note, I have one beside me at the moment. The quality of the construction and attention to detail is second to none. People are claiming it beats Act Labs RS 2K6 kit which is much higher priced. I would even go as far as saying it is over-engineered in parts.

They've done it before. They have plenty of "get out" clauses in their T&C's.

This looks like a fantastic wheel. Can't afford one right now but in a year I might get one! Is there anything out there that does more? I mean like a force feedback racing chair or something? Doesn't matter the cost, just interested!
#28
Looks like a great wheel. I wonder if they will re-package it when Gran Turismo HD gets released and rename it.

I think I read somewhere that it'll set you back 17 grand.

I doubt it as it was done as a limited edition to mark Logitech's 25th birthday.

No, more like around 1 grand ;)

And Dynamic Forces have a much nicer version although a lot more expensive.

Thanks for that. Couldn't really work out what it was tho! It was written in really bad english wasn't it? Is it like a chair that gives you force feedback?

I debated trying to make one a while ago, surely just a couple of hydraulic pumps connected to the force feedback wires ripped out of a wheel would do it???
#34
Shockingly Australias allocation was only 400- show's how limited it really is.
#35
Anyone know how the clutch works? Is it just a gimmick or does it really need to be used like a car?
#36
I'm not sure what you mean. It works like on a car. It's analogue, like the accelerator and brake. How realistic it is (and whether it's supported) will depend on the game of coarse. Live For Speed supports it.
#37
Clutch is realistic and each pedal is weighted differently. So in LFS, if the car is stationary for instance or if you crash and the clutch is engaged, the engine will stall just like a real car would.

That sounds fantastic! Will keep an eye out for the next deal on these.

£95!!!!!!
I can't see when they deliver the rest of the car:-D
#40
Back up to £146. I'd consider buying this if it's fully supported when Gran Turismo 5 (HD) on PS3 but I suspect Logitech usually work with Sony on an official wheel for GT5 similar to GT4 and the 900 degree wheel
