My as I would have loved to buy the Logitech 7.1 headset, after thinking about it a lot, I concluded that eighty quid was a bit much for a set of headphones however good they are.

So instead I bought the Trust 5.1 Surround Sound 16533 Headet for £30.59 from Amazon (see link)...

I am well pleased with my budget purchase. Up until now, I've been using a Cosonic headset that I bought from Ebuyer. I thought they worked ok but compared to the Trust, they sound like your listening to stuff with a towel wrapped round your head! Dialogue in games is now much easy to distinguish from bachground music which is important in a game like Assassin's Creed where there are no subtitles to follow. Music (even if it's not 5.1) is also so much clearer. I'm a big fan of Pete Green and it's like hearing his guitar playing for the first time again.

Hope this helps any financially challenged people out their...

Unfortunately got as far as "Trust" in your comment and then I lost agreement with you!.
Coming from a past where I worked within Computer component distribution I know from experience that the "Trust" brand is a brand you can't trust when it comes to reliability.
If I had a pound for every headset, microphone, mouse, keyboard, speakers, camera etc that came back faulty and had to be sent back to Trust I'd be a comfortable millionaire.
Now don't get me wrong, they are priced pretty competitive and I'm sure failure rate was possibly only 1 in every 4 units but my luck it'd be me that's gets the failed unit!.

Yeah. I sort of agree with what you say. Trust's repuation did bother me a bit before I parted with my cash. However it says on the pack that they have a two year guarantee. If the worst came to the worst and Trust wouldn'tthe guarantee, I can afford to write off thirty quid whereas writing off eighty quid might sting a bit!
