Bought this for £29 in October. Really nice mouse if you don't mind wired and optical (which doesn't bother me). Comfortable, seems well built, and a couple of extra buttons without being covered in them.

The dpi switching is useful occasionally.

    Does this need special cheese?

Good mouse. I have one of these at work and it is decent for most things.

I had this mouse for a bit and i really liked it, but it just wasn't enough for me so upgraded to the G300, both of which are fantastic

Good mouse, replaced an 7-8 year old MX512 with this a couple of years ago, its virtually the same mouse, just as durable, comfortable and functional.

Thanks! Just been thinking about buying one of these as a backup for my MX518.

great mouse - bought mine new from ebay for £20 (inc p&p) at Xmas to replace a knackered mx-700 as identical in shape and size.

plenty folk say better sensor and more solid click switch than more expensive g500/g700 and the software does everything a casual gamer could want.

I'm stick rocking two of these, one for the desktop and one for the laptop. Could not recommend them more since it was the replacement MX518! Great price too! Have some heat!

Is the DPI customisable or are you stuck at 3600?

Would a mouse like this be any good as a precison mouse for photo editing in Photoshop or is it just suited to gaming?

Can customise lower DPI if you require - simply save as one of 5 custom levels for ease of use.

Not sure what you want to do exactly in PS but you can customise X and Y DPI axis. It is simply a very accurate and reasonably priced mouse which happens to support multiple profiles for games you may have installed. A very, very good all rounder.

Thanks OP, I finally get to replace my cheap and cheerful Gigabyte M6880, hope it's a big improvement.

Still wondering whether or not to just get one of these instead http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008F6MMO8/

I've had an MX518 where the scroll wheel broke then a Steelseries Ikari that triple clicks just out of warranty. Nothing seems built to last so might as well get something cheap

Far more accurate than you could possibly control it with your hands - what on earth is the point of being able to determine position to 1/3600th of an inch? You have to reduce it in software because it is completely unusable as is - traversing the screen with about half an inch of movement!

how do these compare to g5 and g500 aside from slightly lower DPI than the g500 (I use 1600 most of the time anyway)?
