Only 12 left - there was 13 ;) - serves the wife right for getting Flu before Christmas and not getting my any pressies

Lowest price I could find from a UK site. £60 less than Amazon etc...
#2
Best price I can see for the product. have a little heat, though frostbite is coming! ;)
#3

Is price really an issue if you have enough money to spend on this?
#6
Looks great but the Logitech RF extender won't work my Linn pre-amp and the remote won't operate a Squeezebox duet. So I still need 2 remotes and have to open the cupboard door to adjust the volume!

Buy the telly then!!!!

Then buy an AV Amp, Sky, Network Media Tank, Windows Home Server/Media Server, Tank, 3D Blu-Ray player, PS3 (fair enough you need to get the adaptor for this) have a wife that hates having the tech on display and remotes all over the place and is a technophobe and you may feel you need one of these - like we do

Or perhaps you might strike lucky at the local tip and get a CRT for nothing - might even be black and white - might make you a bit more happier???

I thought it was meant to be voting on the deal??

Some people puzzle me ... It's a bit like voting cold on a Jag with a few grand off cos you can get a Fiesta for 10k.

It's a good remote for a good price. I've got a Harmone One which has done me fine for a few years. If I didn't have it I might have been tempted with one of these.

Unfortunately it's not cheap baked beans so the pikies feel the need to vote cold.

Good price though.
#11
Heat given for the deal - if you are after the 1100.

I have a Harmony One (was about £75 from amazon about a year ago) and like discobob, I have a large amount of AV, PS3 (with the the harmony bluetooth adapter ... about £25), Apple TV2 and media centre PC - it works them all and is easy enough for the family to use.

Not really sure what the 1100 gives you, other than the larger screen real estate?
#12
Forgot to add - 3% quidco tracked already 8)

For me - will hopefully give simplicity and acceptence by the wife of the home cinema setup

Admittedly it is a lifestyle choice

Our lifestyle doesn't include having remotes all over the place so it is left to a telly and Sky remote max - The wife is a technophobe and when I am away the kids can't watch a DVD as she doesn't know how to work it - The AV amp is a complete no-go

Just got a new screen and Amp that has AV Switching in Standby so can start to simplify the whole set up.

For me it is a no-brainer. Add the RF and everything away with a simple interface for 90% of usage and hopefully nirvana!!!

Glad you didn't take offence at my earlier post:D

feel tempted by this bit of kit but i think i'll stick to my harmony 300 i bought from play for a tenner...

i didnt cold, didnt heat either
it costs in pounds what it costs in dollars in the US, i would not consider it a worthy buy, even though i am a big fan of high end items of any kind

I'm not going to take offence at such a trivial comment!

I guess if you have the money, why not buy this remote. Actually **** that if I was a millionaire, I'd just order the most expensive remote!
#21
Is the same price on Amazon at the moment although no Quidco option there. Price fluctuates daily on Amazon - have been watching it for months as I really want one but don't want to pay that much for it. Has been as low as £220 in the last few weeks so if you're prepared to wait and check the price daily (like I am) you might get lucky.
#22
@Cezza - use Zeezaw to watch the price for you and email you when it falls to a price you're willing to pay.

dude you got issues, get some help, see a shrink! for goodness sake its only a deal and you are so wrong, this forum is not just about voting hot or cold, it about making our personal opinions/comments/recommendations known so that others can benefit from it too. I understand if you were a millionnaire you would buy the most expensive remote, but hey dude look around! were in the Hotukdeals website, there are no millionaires here, we're all after getting a good deal for our money, millionnaires would not waste thier time on this website. IMHO this is a ridiculous amount to spend on a remote control, but thats my opinion im entitled to it and you are to yours. so take a chill pill.

Who got issues, issues, issues :)

Some millionaires become millionaires by being tight fisted, or by setting up deal and cash-back websites :p
#28
I used to have a Philips Pronto remote, superb touchscreen and dead easy to program, unfortunately to didn't like it when one of the kids bounced it down the stairs so I could be tempted to get one of these.
You've no idea how handy a single remote is until you don't have one.

Are you having a go at me or at both of us - little bit confusing in your post.

As for my wife - the Player is put through the Amp for my home cinema. the Remote has a lot of buttons on it etc.. and as I said she is a complete technophobe - doesn't even use the internet despite my best efforts - whereas I am into technology being a freelance developer and architect. Opposites attract as they say.

Having a button on a touch screen that says "play DVD" that will switch the amp to the right input, telly to the right input etc will help her out tremendously. To help I have also purchased an Amp that does switching in Standby although it means downgrading my existing amp as a compromise. I am away 5 nights of the week usually so not there to help

And I am not a millionaire....Just hard working and deserve the odd treat and as I said in my first post, it is my Christmas present :p

Could never justify spending this amount on a control, therefore cold.

not a reason to vote cold, this is a hot deal for people in the market for this, regardless of whether or not you can personally justify the cost.

Hot.
#32
Deals like this are where this site falls apart. Whether 240 quid on a remote is a deal or not really is subjective because to many it will be just a remote. I don't buy the whole its the cheapest price argument because its not a price comparison site. But it may be a deal to some so voted hot, even if I couldn't "justify" spending this much on it, couldn't justify spending the 100 quid on the actifry just for chips, but that was still a hot deal!
#33
Voted cold because it is not a free iTunes app
#34
Looks great! Im happy with my 525, but could be tempted if I had the cash...
#35
voted cold coz most logitech stuff is overpriced hyped up ****. yes I have spent well over the top in the past on their crap, so for that reason alone, not because its just a crappy remote, or im a tight ****. You have to be a total mug to pay that kind of money or a total materialistic ****. Im sure theres scum out there tho who feel is a priority.
banned#36
Voted cold.

It costs £250 and turns your tv/stuff on and off. That statement alone makes me think that this is bonkers. There are loads of alternative all in one remotes (especially in the Harmony range) that do the exact same thing for a fraction of the cost.

I'm with Rocco. If you're a millionaire, you're not gonna be trawling through HUKD to save money on iTunes apps.

This isn't a price comparison website, so you can't tell people they MUST vote hot purely based on if its the cheapest price the product is available at. This site is about OPINION.

This site features more and more numpties each time I visit. I have a massive Tele, av receiver, ps3, 360 etc etc all installed as remotely as possible.

This is probably a perfect item for me, yet due to my ignorance about what it does, combined with it being 'more than' an impulse buy price.... I won't bother.

However... is it a saving off list? OS it the cheapest? If so, then its hot. Back in your hovels please peasants.... if you have nothing nice to say.... ;)

Matt
#38
Great, vote the cheapest price down because you can't afford it or don't think it is worth it.

Lovely stuff.

Some real morons on this site. In my OPINION if course.
#39
£241 for a remote control lol. You got a mobile?, psp? Then you got yourself a free universal remote control
#40
This is the cheapest I've seen this particular model; heat added.

While I wouldn't buy this model for my own use, I'm happy with my Logitech Harmony One remote, I can understand those who'd prefer a more touchscreen orientated remote, so, for them, this is a good deal. ;)
