Lol, true.

Ordered, thanks OP. I missed out on the 555 deal but as far as I can see, that just gives 15 devices versus the 5 on here and I will never need more than 5

Just double checked and this isn't a blemished box item, it's a special offer.

Not that it matters..... Blemished Box Top of the page. Still a good deal, if you need one.

Is that not for the first 2 items though?, as the title changes to special offers on the next set of items?
#11
Pretty sure its just the top 2 items - they have 'blemished box' in their individual titles too (not that it really matters). Ordered one myself as I just missed the 555 - cheapest I've seen and as its now a discontinued product, it may be hard to find one soon (and there's nothing comparable for the price).
#12
I have the very same remote, got to admit it feels cheap in use (compared to the 700 I also have) I paid £30 for my 515 and was impressed at that price. You can also use these Harmony remotes to unlock certain bluray players dvd section to multi-region via AVForums.
#13
Similarly sure the blemished boxes are the top two.

Ordered one, hope it proves as useful as it appears.
#14
When they run out : 515 is only £24.99 at Play.com (with £back opportunities).
Remember this can ONLY control FIVE devices and has a tackier/cheaper look/feel than the 525/555 models but still 100% recommendable.
BTW: Richer Sounds have the bit more capable/neater 525 at £29.95 (though c£7 P&P if you aren't close to one of their stores.)

Missed out on the 555 earlier :( - will give this a go.

bought this from play for £17.99 a few months back

yeah, it is a bit plasticky but the best remote I have ever used as far as sensitivty / range is concerned.

never thought an all-in-one would be good enough to replace my 4 remotes - this is and others were in the drawer within a day

2nd best electronic kit I have bought in years (after my humax and ps3).
#17
is this good as a virgin V+ remote?
#18
ideal remote for kitchens/bedrooms where you have 5 or fewer devices.
screens a little hard to see monochrome but actually better than the 525/555 because the fonts are double pixel row.
don't feel much worse than the others imho.

No but you can use pretty much any one.

I have one of these and it is brilliant. Even the wife loves it. It seems very good quality to me.

???? If its behind your Humax and PS3, surely that would make it your 3rd best ?

The IR receiver is built-in to remote itself.

You can buy a PC receiver on Ebay for about a tenner.
#27
bought - voted hot. Kudos to the guy with the original thread for the 555.
#28
Harmony remote controls are Linux compatible thanks to the concordance project - despite Logitech ignoring the operating system.

I can't help thinking that balluji was really asking whether this would be any good as a virgin+ remote - i.e. is it compatible? There have been issues in the past with one-for-all hansets working with just about anything except the Virgin cable boxes. Does anybody know the answer?

My 515 works perfectly with my V+ (cannot say about the newest type samsung though)
#31
Good price to get it from logitech. New on ebay its £25 ish so will resist for now...

Er, no!
The non-recording boxes had different remotes, and the newer V+ boxes are different too!
#35
Are you sure they are different. I use both new and old remotes with my Samsung and old V+.
#36
Just a word of advice, it might not seem like you will ever need more then 5 devices but they can build up!

I use my all-in-one remote for

1. BluRay Player
2. Dvd Player
3. Xbox360
4. PS3 (with IR reciever)
5. Amp
6. TV

Now ok since getting the bluray player the DVD player is pretty much redundant so that one can theorectially be crossed off the list but even then I have 5 devices already and I don't have sky, virgin or a digibox to control.

Just looked, but they are between £30 and £40 for new.
#39
Also as i said in other thread, be very careful buying these from "unofficial channels" - i was warned by someone who bought on ebay and found it won't authorize with Logitech, making that one useless. perhaps just a rogue seller with a stolen batch or something. I don't know the reason. but I wouldn't buy these on ebay because of this.
