Is this a good remote then?

Good find, I was going to buy this from 'the company that can't be named' but with the postage it worked out £4 dearer than this. I had bought the One-for-All Kameleon 5 from Play last week but was not very impressed with it, upgrading it is a pain and half the buttons still didn't work or were not available, this one sounds easier with the usb connection so will give this a try instead.

Damn, forgot Quidco could have saved 14p! :x

i had this before upgrading to the one as i needed to control more devices. i preferred this one.

ahhh. i couldn't wait for this to go down in price so last night ordered a Harmony One for £89.99 with 30 day money back guarantee: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/540503/logitech-harmony-one-advanced-unive

voted hot though.

The Harmony 510/515 is an entry level remote that is essentially a replacement to the 500 series and the Xbox 360 version. It features colored buttons typical on most satellite boxes. It has a four-button, monochrome LCD display. One very important thing of note is that it has a 5-device limit.[4]

5 devices doesn't seem like a lot...

Depends what you have! Personally I have this remote and its great, I have a TV, 360, Amp, Freesat Box and eventually ill have a video streamer, what more would you need in your front room? :) Its great because you can program it to perform actions depending on what you want to do, for example if I want to play Xbox 360 normally I have to turn on the TV, switch to HDMI 2, switch on the amp and set to "game" and switch on the 360. Now all I have to do is press "play 360" and it does all that for me, helps my Girlfriend no end!

Really easy to program and use and responds very quickly, even if you have a really obscure AV device (i had a Linux sat box and it worked with that), I especially like the button backlighting that a lot of manufacturers leave out nowerdays, only comes on if you press the "illuminate" so its not distracting button and makes it easier to find what you are pressing.

Great price, thanks! Going to get one for my bro for xmas

Have to say. Not overly keen on these. I bagged on a month ago for around the 25 mark and its a pain in the ass to setup. I had to setup custom buttons as it tried to be "too clever" by questioning you and setting it up for you. I would rather just see the settings and "I don't know"..... how about just let me make the decisions as to how I want to setup my remote.....

I bought one of these last time it was at this price on play. Fantastic remote, I have it controlling my TV, Projector, Sky+, HD-DVD player, JVC Home Theatre system and HDMI switch. Yes that's 6 devices, as I got it to learn the HDMI switch remote and put them on unused buttons on the Projector setting. May sound complicated, but it isn't! As I said a fantastic remote, and well worth it at this price. HOT!

I cant even find the other 4, why would you wanna put it down to 1!

Does this work by entering particular 'codes' for devices, or can it 'learn' any device? Most of my devices are not big name high street brands. Will this work?
#15
