Yes, it can control almost anything with Infra Red. Most are directly coded in the software, you just search the models as you set it up with the harmony software and it sets it up for you. It can also learn any obscure ones if you have the original remote. (I taught it my friends Citroen ZX Alarm).

The Harmonys are great, this price is spot on

Willing to take a punt at this price looks like a great price

Honestly their is no punt taking about it. The Harmony remotes are really good and the software for them is as easy as you get. I replaced a Philips Pronto with this remote about 18 months ago (about £55 at the time). I was so impressed I have bought a further 2 (875 model when it was on offer at around £70). The functionality is pretty much the same on all of them. The advantage of the higher models is more options on screen, full colour and a rechargable battery and dock. If these had been £30 then though I would probably have saved my cash

Have been uming and arghing about these for a while now - at this proce it would be rude not to. Thankyou
#11
Great find - H&R added
#12
Superb bargain - thanks OP!
#13
I have a nerdy question - It says you can upload icons for your favourute shows etc.

However can you create your own icons for it, I am thinking make things really easy for the ladies - "Click on a picture of your face to use the TV etc" - Is this possible?

#17
I had this remote and upgraded to the Harmony One, the 525 is great though.. but what makes these remotes even better is the free helpline.. the people they have on there really know their stuff.
#18
I bought the 525 from the Amazon deal earlier in the year, brilliant bit of kit and £1.08 cheaper this time round.

Interested too mate re the PS3 but doubt it as that works off bluetooth and not infra-red doesn't it????
#20
The dedicated Sony controller is bluetooth. There is an infrared controller & receiver for the PS3 ,by logitech .I would imagine this should work with the harmony.
#21
I own a 515 and have to say it feels flimsy and cheap. Anyone know if this feels any better?
#22
can you make a "turn everything off" button, if so how does it know what state things are in? E.g if I have my xbox off but sky + TV on then press "everything go off button" will it then turn my xbox on?
#23
..to replace the one we already had that got dropped one too many times onto our hard floor (still works, actually, but half the LCD display doesn't work any more)

Great little remote. Software's a bit fiddly but once it's set up properly it's very convenient.

Heat added.

It doesn't work like that, it has activities.

Say your activity is 'watch sky' it will probably be set up to turn on the TV and the sky box. When you're done, you press the off button, and it will turn off the TV and the sky box.

The buttons are a bit spongy and can get stuck down sometimes. Apart from that, it's an excellent remote.:)

Pretty much, you can program anything missing in yourself, and even if you run out of buttons you can use the LCD display ones.
#32
Has anyone tried the RAC code for the extra 5% - or are you only allowed one code at a time?
#33
I notice TrustedReviews did not rate this too highly - so therefore its a miss from me. They are trusted for a reason =)

Cool, Is there a full list of devices it is compatible with? For example I have Nokia Dbox's, Darkbox HD, PS3, Onkyo etc etc, a few 'rare' devices!

Anybody got the full list link?

It's a database, not a list :w00t: http://myremotesetup.com/EasyZapper/New/Main.asp?WebProcessAction=Start&ReturnUrl=%2FEasyZapper%2F.%2FNew%2FProcSpice%2Flanding.asp&ClassId=PrSpice.ProcSpice&RelativePath=ProcSpice%2F

Not on this model - but on higher costing models.

If you are willing to take the time to set it up properly then yes it should.

See http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/5732&cl=us,en?WT.ac=ps|5940

This shows an interface for PS3 users.

I've not used it but looks ok.

Ordered a 525, thanks op.

Thanks, I was gutted last time when I missed out on one of these remotes having found it tricky to control my TV, DVD player and Sky+, glad I got it now.
