This is a better deal that this alternate one:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/565786/logitech-harmony-555-universal-remo

The Harmony 555 holds great features, because with just one touch you can switch on all of your entertainment devices in the correct order. It also boasts an impressive LCD display and a help function
- One touch activity control
- Controls up to 15 devices
- Backlit LCD Screen

fub spotted this one independantly, as you can see in the discussion thread of http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/565786/logitech-harmony-555-universal-remo. Have added as a separate deal as I clocked this on Froogle having overlooked the original deal on here as the better price that fub had found was hidden away in the comments.

Not trying to steal your thunder fub, honest(!!!) just trying to make this easier to find as this is a great bit of kit. I've added to your rep to compensate (PM me if you want me to remove this deal so that you can repost it as yourself).

Remember to get your 3% cashback on TopCashBack, Quidco or Quanti.

Hi,

I'm a newb on here , so was wondering whether I've posted this right as it seems to be getting a chilly reception! I know that this is already posted as an Amazon deal, and that this deal is shown in the comments within that deal.

I checked the Code of Conduct before reposting, and it says as a guideline to repost "if the product has dropped in price by at least £1.00" which is what I was doing.

Have I misinterpreted the Code of Conduct, and should I remove this deal from the site!?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction....

Still expensive for a remote.

Credit To Whoever Found It On The Linked Post!!

I use the 525 and its great, I use it on my TV, Mac, Xbox, Virgin HD box, does them all great, heat added.

Just ordered this from pixmania - is £45 but you have to pay delivery. I just purchased some other things from there so was ok with that. Can't wait to have a play with it!

Sounds like you don't understand it. It controls things that usually don't have remotes, and it's ideal considering replacements (new) for TVs (such as Panasonic ones) can be £43.
#11
I also have one of these remotes and would highly recommend it. I trust that those who can't understand why people buy these great pieces of kit are happy juggling 6+ remotes to operate their AV gear.
#12
Could this be used as a replacement sky remote.

Yep and about 10000 other remotes. Plus can learn commands from existing remotes (if you have some equipment that is rare)

So go and buy a one for all remote from poundland then, you get what you pay for
#16
What's the difference between the 525 and this? Is it simply that the 555 can control more devices?
#17
Careful with this people, because it has a manual programming mode they claim it is compatible with pretty much everything and it isn't. :x

My LG37LF66 TV just will not work with it, despite Logitech supports best efforts

i have this one and its great!!

This is an awesome remote, turned our rather complex home cinema setup into a wife friendly setup overnight.
For those that don't know Logitech remotes work different to others, they use a task style mode so for instance, you want to watch a movie the remote can be setup to turn on your 5.1 amp, set the TV to the correct AV input, turn on your blu-ray player and (if you have the capability) dim the lights all by the press of one button. It also automatically switches the volume buttons for instance to control the device that you are listening via. You have your amp on as the sound source then it will control that, the same controls will work with the TV volume when you are in say "watch telly" mode.
The whole thing can be setup from USB connection to your PC, I haven't found anything that it wont control so far - Sky box, Panasonic plasma, Cambridge amp, popcorn hour, Xbox and 360, blu-ray player etc etc.
It is not just a replacement for a lost remote like one of those woeful All for One jobs, it's more powerful than that - unlike those it also keeps the settings for all your devices without batteries when they run out, you can also instantly reprogram it from your computer too.

Will it control a PS3 yet?
I believe you can buy a dongle, but I'd like it to work out of the box and as far as I'm aware, PS3 doesn't work with IR.

Nope - you need to buy the dongle as it dos not have bluetooth

I wouldn't mind having to buy an adapter, but for over £40 seems too steep since it wouldn't have to be much more complex than a PS3 remote which is only £15-£18.
#24
I've seen the adaptor for about £25 (plus postage I'd imagine) but it still bumps the price up a bit too much for me I'm afraid.
Still, seems like a decent deal for those without a PS3.

out of stock again now

???

Not sure what you mean Bazza71? The only one cheaper than £44.99 from your link is through Misco UK which is £44.94, but delivery is not included (which takes it up to at least £49.63).

From Dixons, delivery is free, so it's £44.99 all in.

Have I missed something?

Cheaper than buying a new tv, HTPC, Sky, Virgin and Xbox 360 remote, let alone DVD, AV receiver, Hifi etc...

Heat from me and ordered, prefer the style compared to the lower version :)

Don't forget 3% cashback from Quidco :)

Out of stock :(

525 is in stock in some PC World stores for £40 collect only

Stock looks good in the North East though, Kingston Park, Team Valley & Silverlink all have stock

No, you're right. All I'm saying is that it's not that a hot deal if you can buy it from Amazon for £49 (which I have done) inl. P&P!

Thanks OP for putting me onto this though, as I really needed one of these, the kids have a tendencey to hide all the remotes (x6 - remotes not kids) so this one will be under lock and key.

Shi**e! Out of stock! Probably will go for 525 from PCWorld.
This is how it looks now:
