Thanks to its colour screen and one-click activity buttons, the Harmony 650 remote control will become an indispensible part of your AV system in no time.

The smart colour display shows just the icons that you need it to; for example, favourite channels or popular demands can be activated with ease, without having to navigate through multiple menus. As with other Harmony remote controls, the 650 also offers one-click activity. You can select functions such as "Watch TV", "Listen to the Radio" or even "Watch a DVD". With this one touch, the Logitech Harmony 650 remote will turn on all the relevant units in the right order so there is no waiting around.

Programming the 650 is a joy. Simply connect to the Internet, instruct the browser as to your components and then let the software guide you through the set-up process. If you have any problems, then Harmony also offer live support for additional assistance. With the world's largest AV control database, the Harmony 650 will support more than 225,000 devices from more than 5000 brands - with the list still growing. Whether you have an old VCR, the latest Blu-ray player or both, the Harmony is more than likely to support them.

With the ability to replace five remote controls, now is the time to get your coffee table back and free yourself from the clutter of multi remotes. True harmony!

Excellent stuff, even works with Sky+ and xbox... thats 5 remotes down to 1 :)

PLUS: The "bottom of the range" 515 is still around - eg Novatech for c£33 - which may be sufficient depending on how many devices you want controlled. RS website shows the 525 for £30 too (got two of them myself and very very very happy with them).

It's good to see that logitech have corrected the own goal they made with the One by including the four coloured buttons on the new models that sit above and below it in the range but why they haven't fixed the One at the same time is beyond me as that still has the most attractive feature for most users interested in this type of remote, namely a sensible number of items it can control?

Just beat me to saying it Glenn :)

If you don't want to sign up to their VIP club, Amazon have it for £59.40 which when you add the £6.99 shipping to the Richer price, makes it only a couple of pounds more.

How do you get it for the £49.95?

I have the newsletter above, but the site states £59.95 plus delivery.

Edited By: nervekeg on Nov 04, 2010 17:07: put .99 instead of .95

If you see any more Harmony One at £70 please let me know.

I have tried the cheaper models and they are not a patch on the Harmony One. I wish I had bought more when Play were doing them for this price.

Aren't remote controls on that list of gadgets that will soon to be killed off by smartphones?

Do these do PS3 remote control functions?

no thats bluetooth, not ir. you need to buy an adapter for a few more £££

I think that the PS3 uses bluetooth whereas the Harmony Remotes operate on IR (infra red) therefore they aren't compatible

Why is the 650 so much better than the 525

http://www.richersounds.com/product/remotes/logitech/harmony-525/logi-harmony-525

Currently they still have a few of these at £29.99. The 525 seems to control 10 devices rather than just 5. And the features seem comparable, just want to know as need to get 1 of the harmony range but don't want to pay double for less features (or 2/3rd more!)
#18
Upgraded from the 555 to this and it's great! Need to charge it about once a month but the channel favourite icons are the really big sell over the lower range remotes.

You can download the icons for all your fave channels from here

Exactly, that's what I thought.
Then realised this is the newest version so it was somehow a fashion statement to buy this less functional/ergonomic device at twice the price!
#20
I'd buy this if I didn't already already have a 525 (which is great!), I currently don't have a need for more than 5 devices although I will when I get a subwoofer with it's own dedicated remote :P
#21
Thanks! I wish they would create one control that does them all (including remote sockets etc).

I would definitely buy that!
#22
Nice price for the model. I had a 525 (now given to my mum) which was good to use, but the screen could be a little annoying to read. Managed to get a slightly damaged (well it supposedly has a small scratch on it which I cannot see) Harmony One for £30 on ebay, and it is so much nicer to use than the 525, the screen is much clearer and yes it looks better and more expensive.

Not sure about sockets but all Logitech remotes can control light dimmer switches. If you're really being lazy!
#24
They've always done an RF model, at a price, but it won't control the cheapo supermarket sockets.
#25
Going from the lack of extra features compared to the much cheaper 525 (better icon display & nicer feel just isn't enough for me to pay 66% extra) which goes for £25+ (currently £29.99 in RS own stores). I think I'll hold off. Thanks for posting made me realise that sometimes being a model up/newer in the range means that you pay more for less (thanks logitech!)
#26
Was the same when they brought out the 500 range though as the quality/features of those was downgraded from the previous range.

Seriously - How do you get this for the £49.95 in the OP?

I've seen the newsletter, but taking it to checkout still states the higher price.
Trying to register doesn't work either (the "Continue" button on the form has no action).

Or am I just having a dumb week?!
