I got a 525 lat weekend and must say it is an amazing piece of kit (and think the 525/555 look much better than this) and theres no way I can see what this could do more that justifies the extra £50.

But good price for this particular model.

I own a 555 myself, but I cant say that either the 525/555 look better to be honest, apart from the lack of colour buttons on the main unit the ergonomics of the One is better along with nicer buttons (none rubberised buttons feel too brittle and cheap on the 525/555) as well as having a better resolution display for clearer text/more info displayed (as well as colour) and its a rechargeable unit too.

However I understand the argument that although its a "deluxe" version, the budget models have identical functionality and operational software for a lot less cost.

I've just bought the "Logitech Harmony 885" for £69.99 at play thanks to a deal on here, not tried it out yet as I've not got my new tv yet. What's the difference between the 2 models? Is the 885 a good choice over this one?

The One is kind of a replacement for the 885. I have both and they are both great remotes.

The 885 has actual 'hard' teletext buttons which is good, whereas the One has these on the touch screen.

The screen on the One, is miles better than the 885, and also i think the build quality is better.

you will love the 885 though, so dont worry. Mine has been retired to the bedroom, but i still use it all the time.

The 885 has hard buttons for red, green, yellow and blue, which are essential if you're a SKY+ user.
I've had the 885 for a couple of years now and highly recommend it. I was thinking of getting the One to replace it, but as it doesn't have the hard colour buttons I decided against.

The lack of hard colour buttons was a factor for me too, however, when you set up the remote, the software automatically puts the colour buttons onto the front main screen so it isnt an issue at all...you can have shed loads of pages too.

If you are thinking that lack of hard buttons is a problem, it isnt as bad as you might think!

Thanks for the advice everyone! rep added to all!!

I've arranged for a return of my 885 back to play.com, and ordered the one instead. £20 extra aint bad really if it has a better screen.
