Was just browsing at play & noticed the price has dropped from £139.99 down to £99.99.

Excellent 5 star reviews (as with other logitech remotes).

Its expensive for a remote but some people will buy this and i think its a fairly good slice of the price-nowhere near as good a deal on the one listed e few days ago (mine have arrived this motning-they look very good quality). This one would actually have been my first choice-but for the price of the other one i couldnt not buy it!! ( it was around £75 before christmas-when i didnt have the spare cash-typical)!

so you didn't buy it?

I picked one up at the begining of the week from ebay. This remote is quality.

The activity feature makes my old Philips SRU 8015 look dated.

Heat.

I have the 555 and its brilliant. Be aware that the "one" model doesn't have dedicated colour buttons.
If you're using it for Sky, Freeview or other PVRs, that might be annoying for you.

I've seen a post whereby ony chap returned his Harmony One and replaced it with a cheaper Harmony model because hte lack of the "red green, yellow, blue" buttons was a major hassle.

All the Harmony models work in a similar way with similar functionality, so you don't lose out much by buying a lesser model.

You can buy a 515 from Misco for £20 or a 555 from Amazon for £40 . Both still have lcd screens and are worth a look.

If you're really sure you do want the "one" model though, this is a really good price.

Logitech have bought Harmony and are briinging out their own models now. Many say they're inferior. These models (One, 555, 525, 515, etc) are the last of the "real" Harmony models and seem to be being cleared out to allow the new Logitech models through.

I got this model sometime ago through the amazon deal and its excellent.. While it may not have dedicated colour buttons on the remote there is another option.

when you set the remote to operate your Sky Box you get the coloured buttons via the touch screen so they are there....

even if the Coloured buttons on the LCD for Sky/text use aren't to your liking there are a couple of spare buttons (#, *) on the bottom of the remote that you can customise for common coloured button usage

I have # mapped to green and * mapped to yellow

I paid £70 for mine from Play.com some time ago...;-)

Not as good as dedicated buttons though IMO

Lack of colour buttons on the 'One' means it sucks.

It was a major oversight from Logitech. I prefer the 885 in a similiar price range though the buttons are a little more fidly.

Having them on the LCD is not practical and for £100+, I don't want to use up another 4 buttons to map them somewhere else.

If I had the money, the Harmony 900 would be best as it has the great design features of the 'One' but with added awesomeness (INCLUDING COLOUR BUTTONS!).

... Logitech have bought Harmony

... happened 6 years ago!

Wow, I've always wanted to upgrade from my 525 to the "One" when I could afford it but I didn't realise it didn't have the 4 coloured buttons - that's so lame and means it won't be the replacement I had hoped, such a shame.
#12
Hmmm, may I ask how many times a day you use the colour buttons? I have them set to the screen as in the picture above but for sky hd i simply made a button on the screen for 'delete' etc. And A sequence that takes me from anywhere to my recordings/anytime. Very simple and imo the physical colour buttons are not needed on this remote ! Anyway This is an awesome remote that makes your life so much easier, at least when controlling AV stuff! Activities and sequences are easy to set up and everything can be tweaked to the way you want it. If your thinking about buying one then go for it!

If my dog didn't love tv controllers and get through them at the rate of a few a year I would love to get this - upstairs I have the 555 and it is absolutely brilliant.

I got one of these a while ago but I am pretty sure I only paid about £60 for it. They seem to be on offer every few months. good controller and high recommended
#15
Forgot to add I paid £65 for mine from amazon about a year back i think!
#16
or you could go for this one, though no charging cradle, but it does have the Sky buttons

Curry's instore (Newtownabbey, Belfast) have them @ £69.99, strange the website shows them at £100

anyone had any experience of the 700 model ?

I've had one of these since Christmas and the accompanying software is abysmal. During setup if your Windows installation varies from the norm regrading temporary files it can just hang (it uses a combo of environment variables and hard-coded paths instead of simply using %Temp%). Once you've got it installed one of the main bits of stupidity it that insist that you login to update the handset (and logs you out automatically after a set period) because it has to upload your settings to the web every time they are modified. It also isn't smart enough to ask if you want to switch off a recorder (in case you wanted it left on for a one-touch recording).

Don't get me wrong the hardware is great it's just badly let down by the moronic software.

The software can do great things though! Change things very accurately and such! Software has always been fine for me though currently being let down by the amazingly sloppy Sky HD software D;
