£70 you can get a really **** TV. This deal is good.
#3
£70?!?!?! Expensive. COLD.

It's a bargain for those who know what they are capable off. Shame the One hasn't got the RGBY buttons, otherwise it would have been a no-brainer for me to upgrade my old and trusty 885 with it.

Morons. This place is full of scrubbers. Its usually well over £100 so this is super hot. Just ordered one to replace my 525.

RGBY buttons are available on the touch screen. But having the buttons physically on the remote would have been better.

It's a good price, i paid around £105 a month ago.

Great deal, heat added!

Nice, heat added, I'm guessing these wouldn't be any good for fat neanderthal fingers.

There seems to be 20% off all Logitech remote controls. I tried three and all had promotions discounted

Sitting here using it to control all my stuff now - awesome remote, way better than having the 8 remotes my devices need.

I have the lesser Harmony 555 currently £41 on Amazon may be worth considering for all those that are ridiculously voting this deal cold. The bigger display showing more options rather than have to scroll through them and better buttons (albeit but the coloured ones not being on the unit) of the Harmony One has got to be great.

Not to say that I am disappointed however in my little bargain, and they all are infinitely programmable to do the same thing.

Some people though can't understand anyone spending a decent amount of money on a remote control that time spent programming can make your whole AV experience that much easier and keep your remote clutter in your drawer. I have several activities programmed into mine that make life so much easier with my AV equipment.

Any of the Harmony remote series that you can get a decent percentage reduction off the RRP are worth it, £70 is a steal for the Harmony One, no matter what the chavs say on here that are happy with their Asda Pacific LCD TV connected up to their Xbox 360 who can't see the point of having more than 2 remotes because they wouldn't have the brains anyway to wire up an AV receiver with 5 or 6.1 sound
#14
Voted Hot to counteract the morons who have voted cold because they think it is expensive for a remote control. If my memory serves me correctly I think I bought the 885 instead becasue the One has no coloured buttons which I needed for my PVR.

Would you vote a Bugatti Veyron cold if it was half price, because half a million was lot to spend on a car?
#15
Personally, I plumped for the 785 (as I wanted the RGBY buttons), which so far has been truely excellent. The only thing you can fault about the Logitech range is that the cradle doesn't work quite as well as it should, but otherwise they're fabulous!

Every time these are on offer you get the same comments 'COLD' 'IT'S A REMOTE'

Buy one and try it. It's worth every penny!!!!!!!
#18
sweet deal
#19
Stupid question, but will this replace my PS3 remote as well?

Will I lose the functionality of my V+ remote (interactive stuff)?

I've got a ridiculous amount of remotes.

This is actually a very good buy, I paid £100 for mine in June!! This controls my TV, DVD player, DVD recorder, Video recorder, Hi-Fi, Logitech Z5500 speaker system, Laptop and my HTPC Computer. So it's nice to replace 8 controls with just one! Easy to set up via the software, and typical Logitech quality, so heat added:thumbsup:

You people must have too much money to spend. £70, £100, whatever, it's a joke pricetag for a remote control. One for the geeks I guess, to sit alongside their Macbook Air and iPhone.
#22
not for the geeks, more for ppl who want to enjoy watching their telly , dvd etc and not having to have loads of remotes

once purchased you should be able to replace ANY remote you'll ever have

if only my cc wasnt so high I'd jump at this price, gets excellent reviews

£70 for a tv...lol!!!!! a crudtech tv at asda dont make me laugh..must be one of the funniest things ive ever heard..does it run on steam or turd power

its not a normal remote....like the ipod of the personal stereo world...you can programme it turn off lights, etc and its childs play to use (but not wife proof..lol!!)
as an example....i entered the model numbers for each of the 5 items i use to control it and it does the rest...now i just select watch tv and it turns on the amp at my selected volume, turns on the digi box with my sleceted tv channel, turns on the tv.....you can control up to 15 items eg.....switch on, dvd, tv, switch off remote lights, shut remote blinds, etc
we now have 1 remote, replaces 5 we have before

the pc software could be a little better but Apple would have been proud of designing this remote

It won't replace your PS3 remote as it's bluetooth and doesn't have an IR receiver, as far as I've seen there is no decent remote that does.

Great deal, ordered one :)

Stupid question, but will this replace my PS3 remote as well?

It does not do Bluetooth, so will not replace the PS3 remote. I have got round this by buying an RF adaptor for the PS3 from DealExtreme (SKU 10879), which plugs into a USB port. I have found that the codes used are the Xbox 360 ones, so can use the Harmony programmed for the Xbox 360. Note you cannot power the PS3 on or off, but can use the remote for playing DVDs, Blu-rays, and navigating the PS3 GUI.
#32
Can't belive this is getting hot..... Nice!
#34
you can buy the logic3 ps3 remote from amazon for around £5, then tell the logitech to control it - not as elegant as the bt ps3 remote but it works.

back to the deal - blimey - what a price!! i bought the 535 in the fathers day promotion for £35 and you can get that one for £28 now.

these remotes are awesome - so easy to set up. they are very clever as they keep track of the state of everything. you control everything using Activities. if you want to watch sky, press the Watch Sky activity button - it'll turn the TV and sky on, then switch the tv to the sky channel.

if you then want to watch a dvd, press the Watch DVD activity and itll turn sky off, then turn the dvd on and flip to the dvd channel. so easy!

weve got rid of 5 remotes and my gf can control our hi-fi now. really really impressed, and as soon as i saw the deal, i ordered the one! i'd been keeping an eye on the price (stayed around 100 since the fathers day promo) and at £88 i was tempted. at £70 its a no brainer - thanks OP!!
banned#35
Is the One really worth double the price of the 555?

That one looks ok!

Found out it supports my odd Niro TWO6.1C amp, so very tempted now.
#36
Fantastic Price for this remote.

I have a 585 and it is the best ever.

Don't listen to the no hopers who say this is expensive. It's a DEAL RELATIVE TO THE RRP. Idiots.

But the lack of a RGBY button makes this an unfortunate no buy for me. Gutted. Not putting them on the screen either. Not the same, not as good.

I realise that now, but I do prefer physical buttons for those

Good pointer, the 785 is now on order for £51 delivered. Excellent!

£70 for a remote! You must be nuts.

I got a harmony 1000 touchscreen last week, it was nearer the £200 mark, fortunately the company i ordered it from a few months ago forgot to charge me for it after i cancelled the order.:thumbsup:

If this is anything like the 1000 in terms of functionality, it will be a great remote.
#39
I love the review on Amazon by someone who spent 3 hours programming this:w00t:

bargain really, or if your budget will stretch, why not plump for this one!
