£99 for one remote to rule them all.....:giggle:

This thing will replace (and out perform) all of your other remotes.

id prefer to get up and turn channel by hand than pay a hundred quid for a remote, or make the megatron from peepshow!

Every time a universal remote comes up . I can't imagine what they'd say about my £700 Pronto RU990!

thats like moaning about paying £100+ for an ipod when you can get a crappy mp3 player for a tenner. You pay the money for something that is high quality and does a much better job than cheap alternatives.

this remote is awesome, and for people who have tv's, v+ or sky, blu ray, amp etc its a great bit of kit that does away with all the other remotes.

I didnt think this site was for people to voice their opinion on how much they would pay for items, more posting items that are cheaper than other retailers so people can grab themselves a bargain!

Its a device for turning the TV over / the volume up, etc. Theres a big difference comparing this kind of deal to that of an ipod to a cheap MP3 player.

My Sky remote controls my Sky HD box and my TV. If I decide to watch a DVD, I'll get its remote as i put the disc in, and put it away when finished. I'm sure I can live with that, and £99 in my bank account. :whistling:

The words 'money to burn' spring to mind.

I thought this was a bargain forum?????

Cheers for that well thought out, eloquent reply. :p

It is, this is a bargain for what it is! Clearly you don't have many complex electronic devices sat around, some folks have DVD/blu-ray players, avr's, cd players, consoles, TV's, Sky boxes, media streamers, etc. etc. this thing will work on all of them. Not only that but you can program events (e.g. run the 'Watch DVD' event and it could turn on the TV, the DVD player and your surround sound system) and much more.

Just because it's not useful to you and you can't justify the cost doesn't mean it isn't a bargain

Some people can afford this, unlike you and me!

This remote has been around the £70 mark before so not sure it's that cheap at £100.

However, as a remote, it's great. My wife is always the benchmarks for testing out new gadgets. Even she can use it and after a bit of tweaking based on some grumbling, it works perfectly. Shame it doesn't work with a PS3 without further expense.

i've managed to get this for around £60 before.

Excellent remote and could do with another but not at this price although they've not been reduced for quiet some time now.

hmm i desperately want one of these but i look to the expired harmony one thread where the thing has been around £70 and think im paying too much even at £100, what to do!!

any idea when this code expires?

That's what a 'Normal' remote will do, Universal remotes can have activities etc for complex HT setups, obviously you don't spend £100 on one if all you have is a TV+PS3.
