Use the attached voucher code (HARMONY2) to save £25 on Amazon UK's price until next Sunday 1st March = £69.99 with free SuperSaver Delivery.

I have checked the code works. A similar offer proved very popular on here a month back.

Don't forget opportunity for some minor rebate via sites such as Nectar eStores rather than direct link here.

As long as you paid for it online from a commercial site you have the DSR Distance Selling Regulations to rely on to reject the goods within 7 working days of receipt. Could potentially cost you c£5 to send it back by RM Special Delivery Next Day but worth it to save £30+.

I bought it from my local Superfi, so cant take it back. I needed a new remote as my Harmony 785 stopped working just outside its warranty.

Nevermind

thanks for the heads up. I missed this offer last time but thought it may come back on again so waited it out.

Thanks again

Cold - many tvs and dvd players come with remotes in the box, sometimes even batteries too if you're lucky.
#6
Hot - many tvs and dvd players come with remotes in the box that can't control other tvs and dvd players, especially ones that can turn on the amp change the tv channel in one button press. Oh we because we're so lucky it comes with Lithium-ion battery!

and when you have an amp, dvd player, xbox, v+box, tv, radio etc in one room it can be a mare finding them all or using 3 remotes just to watch TV. These remotes are great for people with this setup...

So this is ideal for poor people that cannot afford a big enough house to have a TV room, a music room, a games room, etc.? :-D

I have a lower model and it works a treat - these are a great idea for anyone whose couch is clogged up with remotes on the arm, down the back of the cushions etc...

Thank you.

I'm perfectly happy with features of 525. I know some have an issue with the build quality, but I don't.

Already got one, but have some heat

thought the point was to minimise the number of remotes :p
#23
Looks good but could never justify spending £70 on a remote control.

Not voted by the way :)

i sooooooooooo need one of these (got 6 remotes), but i can't bring myself to pay £70 for a remote

Do it, it will change your life :)

Cheers for this one, was considering spending the £94 amazon wanted earlier today but thx to yourself im quids in...

Heat & Rep added.

I think it just depends on if you are into your electrical stuff. I have a decent setup and hate having several remotes, have to press the button to turn on the tv, then another to switch the amp to the correct input then another to turn on the 360 etc. For the sale of £70 i would rather be able to just press 1 button and have it all switch on at the same time.

Consider some of the Logitech lower/cheaper models - eg I have a 525 and am suitably impressed and pleased with it.
#29
Have one of these and its a brilliant remote.

just ordered

Voted hot and ordered one straight away. With my current set up I am always having to keep track of remote for SKY & Sony Amp, Add to that DVD remote and sometimes needing to find the TV & Xbox remote.

If you own a sofa with moveable cushions, multiple sections and also have kids, you will realise the value of this item.

I have a 525, and not all that impressed. I find that i have to press buttons to change channel on sky, then change over to tv to change the volume. This was all much easier on a sky+ remote, which did channels on sky and volume on tv, with no button pressing in between.
Is it this way for everyone, or am I missing something?

Definitely missing something :whistling:

My 525 sets up TV, has the channel buttons for my Humax PVR and the volume up/down for a Yamaha amp. Mind you I don't profess to having mastered it yet as I did the 'essential' step of setup via the onscreen stuff then haven't done more in the 6 weeks I've had it.

if anyone wants a cheaper alternative i've had a really good experience with these:

What Depression? £70 for a remote control is nothing!
#37
Ah its the 525 I have - did have similar problem with changing the volume on the TV when enabled to Sky - just played around with the programming and......(trying to remember what the cause was.....) I think it was also something to do with going for the Sky selection via the remote - if you went for the Turn on TV & Sky option then it reset and you could then change channel and volume etc at once - does work, just got to get it setup properly - worth spending an hour or two fiddling around and once its up and running proper they are so handy its not even funny!

Not sure know why this is expired as Amazon are still taking orders and the code works if you put it in as HARMONY2.

If you use lower case letters as in harmony2 it will not work - well, that's the way it works for me. :)

Already have a One and it's brilliant - I've come to that conclusion because my wife says so. :-D

Sorry dude, but you're doing it wrong.

My 525 is set up to adjust the volume through the TV and change channels through cable
