This mouse at £9.99 from Comet has been mentioned in other threads but as I bought one yesterday and found it to be a great little mouse for the £££ I think it deserves a thread of it's own.

It's a small, basic 3 button mouse with a nano reciever - does exactly what it says on the tin very well.

Comes supplied with one Duracell AA battery which apparently lasts for months.

Note - this is the collect at store price - Comet charge £5.95 for delivery so look elsewhere if you need it delivered.

9.99 one looks good, the 4.99 sounds rubbish

edit: i assume the receiver and the mouse are paired beforehand and i couldn't buy one of these with nano receiver and use it on existing logitech mouse which has a fullsize dongle?

Play do a logitech for a fiver

Yes, but that one does not come with a NANO receiver.
The reason I changed to a mouse with a nano receiver is that I managed to snap off the receiver of my last mouse in the usb port when moving my laptop - luckily I just broke the receiver not the usb port.
Normal receivers stick out of the port by about 30 to 40mm and in my opinion are not suitable for laptops/notebooks etc - nano receivers can be plugged in and forgotten about.
If you waltz into someone's deal and drop a bombshell like that, at least do a fair comparison.

eg. Does the £5 Logitech have the same micro-receiver, battery life or build quality as this model?

EDIT: beat me to it, logindetails :)
