Just ordered one of these, I've been looking for a bluetooth speaker to go with my asus transformer for a while. I'd never heard of these until this afternoon.
they are similarly priced at currys and john lewis.

It is a great speaker. I had one for few months and the sound is very good for such a small speaker.

As far as i can see, the micro usb is for charging only. I can't see any other connection except for the 3.5 jack
If it can be mains powered i'll let you know when mine arrives

I must be really tired because I thought the OP had written Anus Transformer, which had me confused for a while.

did you evaluate a few before deciding on the logitech one?

Yes, what swayed me towards the Boombox was that it had a rechargeable battery built in. I have a Tecknet charger that i carry with me to keep my phone charged so i can plug it into that if needed. The d100 takes 4xAA batteries, Reviews on both were favourable and the boombox is smaller and much lighter

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Ericsson-MBS-200-Bluetooth-Portable/dp/B001KOQLDA/ Ive the earlier version MBS 100 and for a cheap Bluetooth chargeable speaker that sounds great its a bargin. The above link is for the 200 version so im thinking its gonna be better. Nice wee addition to this is that you can use it to turn standard stereo into a wireless media device as long as it got a 3.5mm jack in, or twin phone in. Your Bluetooth devise phone, tablet etc connects to the speaker and you use the 3.5mm out jack on it to connect to your stereo and the music is transferred thru your main stereo, simples. The above boombox will prob sound better than this sony speaker as it only mono but for less than half the price and the option to link to other devices etc i just thought id mention it

    Just ordered from Currys

13p more (£44.99) - but you can reserve and collect in store in 1 hour if (like me) you're too impatient to wait up to a week for Amazon's Free 3-5 day delivery

Was thinking of upgrading my x-Mini 2 speakers to this for my phone.

For anyone who has / had both, Would there be a noticable difference in sound quality and volume?

I bought the Tekinica Bluetooth speaker from from Tesco last week for £20 2 x 2 watt great sound, seems to have all the same features as this one, not sure what the wattage is on the Logitech, My advice would be to save more than half the price and buy the one from Tesco.

I bought one a few months ago and it is a superb little speaker. Decent quality, very compact, surprisingly loud, doubles as a speakerphone and has touch sensitive music controls on top so you don't need to keep unlocking your phone to skip tracks or pause.

Also USB rechargeable and supports mini-jack connection for devices that don't have bluetooth.

I can't really fault it, well worth the price if you want a 'travel' speaker.

Got this speaker for £35 from PC World last week. It's got great quality, well-rounded sound and touchscreen controls. It's much better than the X Mini I used to have, though obviously a lot bigger. I use it to listen to podcasts and it's gloriously clear and sumptuous sound given its size. There are two small speakers under the grille at the front and a woofer hidden under the touchscreen panel on top which you can just make out through the gap.

Highly recommended, though personally I'd just pay a few pence more and pick one up in Curry's/PC World for the sake of avoiding waiting in for the postman.
