Popped into my local Sainsburys at Camberley / Farnborough today and saw the following item reduced from over £60 to just under £30 (with vat reduction).

Seems to get good reviews - even though it is an older model, which eplains the discount price. Has been on this forum 6 months ago at £37 from Amazon, but Amazon price is higher now.

Manufacturer's Description
The incredible bass and enveloping experience of a home audio system is now available on the go. The Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod use 3" pressure drivers to maximize bass and minimize distortion. The rechargeable Li-ion batteries last up to 10 hours, and you can charge both the speaker system and iPod battery simultaneously. Using 3-D sound processing that "widens" the stereo effect, this system's sound seems to come from an area about two feet wider than the speaker itself. And with a custom travel case, you can take the big sound from this small package anywhere.

Product Description
The mm50 loudspeakers have been specially designed and intelligently conceived so that you can enjoy exceptional sound quality music while you are travelling. Its 3D sound processor optimises the stereo effect in such a way that it gives a unique sound ambiance. Thus, by using the mm50 loudspeakers, you will not only use your iPod everywhere you go but will also be able to share this incredible experience with your friends. The mm50 loudspeakers come with a mains adapter, wireless remote control and a hard carry case.
