  I wouldn't trust What-HIFI. They think you can get better sound using more expensive optical cables. I have a six month subscription because they gave away a remote with it. They do not know anything about the technology behind HI-FI and seem to give higher ratings to the companies that advertise in their magazine.

  Agreed, some times they use more exspensive cabling. With this item though it's been tested using the in-built rechargeable battery!

  You would hope they would be able to tell what sound dock sounded good so their review for this should be reliable. All they have to do is plug in an ipod with some lossless music and listen to it! You wouldn't believe some of the rubbish they write in the magazine, though!
  
  I don't know why this is cold. Looks like it is £10 cheaper than anywhere else. Built in battery is a real bonus, too. I had to pay £30 for the chargepak in my Pure Evoke 3

  I have one of these and the sound is superb.Good price as the cheapest I could find was £99-quidco at Apple store a couple of weeks ago.
