Ordered mine last Thursday, arrived today, and just running them in. Just checked and they are still selling at 69.99, with 10% using THANKYOU, and 9% quidco. The damaged box ones are selling at 79.99. Note that both of these models are the older versions of the UE700: with frequency response running from 10Hz-16.5kHz, and is the original UE model before Logitech bought them out. New UE700 model runs 20Hz-20kHz. If you look on the amazon US website you will see reviews of both versions side-by-side: both get excellent reviews.

Confirmed that this is sent from EU, and no additional tax to pay as UK VAT already included in the price. Couriered by UPS.

I've ordered too; another thing to note is that you get more ear-cushion tips in the new versionl hardly worth the premium for (IMO).

What difference does the frequency response make - I assume that the newer ones will be an improvement in sound quality, but will I be missing out by much?

In theory the old ones go a little deeper (10Hz compared to 20Hz), and not as high (16.5kHz vs 20kHz), but I think you would need the hearing of a dog to notice any discernable difference. I'm still breaking mine in and, so far, I have noticed that the clarity and sound stage separation are absolutely amazing compared with the "premium" earphones I got with my mp3 player. I can hear every cough, sniff, riff and change in pitch. I'm starting to notice the limitations of compressed music on some tracks too, as it sometimes feels there are bits that I'm missing out on. Also, straight out of the box these are quite bass light - the bass is clear, crisp and tight, don't get me wrong - but just isn't as amplified as the mid and high frequency ranges at the moment. Hopefully this will all sort itself out with some good old fashioned running in. Some don't believe in that - but anything with moving parts needs some time to loosen up and bed-in, no matter how small they are. My Grados needed about 30-40 hours until the bass started to come through, and about the same with my new speakers. Even my DAC took a while before the music stopped sounding like I'd wrapped tin foil over my speakers. All good things come to those who wait and all that.

I am so happy with these; sound quality is amazing. I was previously using my second pair of Sony MDR-EX71's, which I loved for it's exaggerated bass levels. They were a bit battered and I missed out on the deals where Play were selling them off, so I have been on the lookout for some new earphones that took it up a level. I had considered Shure, Etymotic, q-Jays as well as Ultimate Ears but never took the plunge as I could never decide at what price range I was comfortable.

At this price though I couldn't resist and I won't look back for a long while.

received mine on Friday but only managed to test them today!

I'm not an expert audio reviewer but I would say they are better then the CX6 which i currently own. but by not much. Considering the price difference. I think the best buds to use with these are the foam ones. the plastic ones sound a bit tinny to me. What buds are you guys using?

I've only used the silicon ones so far, and using different sizes in each ear after realising that one of my lugs is bigger than the other. Really good fit, really comfortable and good noise isolation. The bass has opened up a bit after some run-in, but not enough for my liking - hopefully given a bit more time this will happen as I have to rely on my mp3's graphic equalizer to amplify those low ends at the moment, which apparently is a cardinal sin. Will try the comply tips at the weekend if bass hasn't improved to my liking.
