It helps if you put the retailer in the title.

Comfort

* Wave key design: Contoured wave-shaped key design conforms naturally to your fingers.
* Constant Curve design: A curved profile and uniform-size keys promote an ergonomically correct, more comfortable hand position. Start enjoying the benefits instantly, without having to re-learn typing on a different keyboard layout.
* Cushioned, contoured palm rest: The soft surface encourages a relaxed position for long typing sessions.
* Adjustable keyboard height: Use the three-way tilt legs to set the height to suit your personal style.
* Audio cable management: Keep headphone cords out of the way by routing them through the channel on the underside of the keyboard.

Control and Convenience

* Easy access to Windows Vista™: Large, one-touch controls give you direct access to key Windows Vista™ features, including Flip 3D, Zoom, Photo Gallery, and Gadgets.
* Instant media access: Use the convenient one-touch controls for volume and media playback. A dedicated button starts Media Center and Front Row.
* Programmable F-keys: Get instant access to favourite applications, games, folders, and Web pages with customisable F-keys.

Available for £23.46 delivered from CBC Computers, bought one recently. Like it far more than the Microsoft Natural Keyboard.

CBC price is £25.59 with postage, the product looks really cool. Wasn't on the market for a new keyboard but I think I will pop into Staples tomorrow ;) heat given

not if you collect

You cannot collect from Dixons, its internet only now. You can collect from the other Dixons group companies Currys and PC World, but no reserve for store collection at Dixons as far as I am aware!

Notice that Dixons don't offer a collection service.

Nothing special, you can get decent wired keyboards for half the price.

Hmmm, they had a cheaper delivery option when I ordered a few weeks ago so, yes £7.95 seems to be their cheapest delivery now, making the total £25.59. Apologies.

Still not a great deal at Staples, though.

I think the point here is that the Logitech Wave is ergonomic, not just a "decent wired keyboard". Personally I have the Microsoft Natural 4000 and find it much more comfortable than any other ergonomic keyboard on the market that I have been able to try out. Still at around £25, this appears to be a good price.

I won't go into the ergonomic keyboard debate here but if you do enough ten-fingered touchtyping for having an ergonomic keyboard to matter then why skimp and buy a half-measure like this one?

How do you define this as a "half-measure"?

Surely a keyboard is about personal preference in terms of key action & responsiveness and layout as well as comfort.

I've moved on to this keyboard from a more expensive Microsoft Natural Keyboard mostly because the key action on the MS one was not to my liking.

I do a lot of typing but I also need my desk space for other things, on occasion, so having a separate gel wrist-pad etc is not really convenient for me. This has a good mix of comfort and key action to make it a good keyboard.

You've started by criticising this as just an over expensive "decent wired keyboard" now you're saying it's a "half-measure" for touch typists. I'd be interested to know what you'd recommend for the serious typist, rather than the gamer or media-freak who just wants loads of customisable function buttons for gaming/media.

I just went into my local Staples store and they didn't know what I was talking about. The only one on the shelf was £59.99 which I think was a wireless. Anyhow, went around the corner into PCWorld and got it for £24.99 (wired USB) and typing on it now, love it but would have preferred a non-usb as I already have loads of usb ports taken already. Just something for you to bear in mind.
